I have been following the PN plan by Dr. Berardi. I was wondering if this diet I came across looks okay. It is the Beverly Nutrition contest diet. you basically have high protein moderate fat no carbs 5 days out of the week. Then on Mon and Thurs you have a high carb meal consisting of complex carbs like rice and sweet potatoes for your last meal of the day. Is this okay? Or would it be better to say have a cheat meal once a week that consists of carbs? Thanks for any feedback.
i would suggest having the high carb meal a little while after your workout and NOT as your last meal of the day before bedtime.
as far as once vs twice a week, it really just depends on how well your body can handle carbs. give the twice a week a go and if you feel like you are taking in too many carbs then think about switching it up…
yeah, you can’t make accurate nutritional assessments w/o considering when/how often you workout/content of said workouts
