Frenchie, I was inspired by your high incline walking and tried it out for a minute when I was on the treadmill today. Did 15% at 2.7 for about a minute before I brought it back down to a more reasonable 5%. It was tough. I liked it but didn’t want to end up with sore calves before my meet. I’m going to have to try it a little when I get to train how I want again.

That sucks about the insomnia. I was dealing with it a couple nights ago. Tonight I’m being pro active. I had spaghetti with homemade meatballs and sauce with red wine! I find that pasta and wine help me sleep!

I love this weather but its about to get even better. I August you got to 100-102 and you feel like your baking. All the little aches and pains from lifting just vanish.
So I was smart and learned from my failed deads of last week. I walked in the gym with an inflated ego thinking I do not need to warm up, the lower weights will be enough. well my butt wasn’t firing and I ended up pulling all crappy with my back.
Today I started with the following warm up:
walked 5 minutes to the gym
stretched hammies
streched calfs
retard frog stretches
body weight squats
hip flexor stretch
fire hydrants
Deads - felt nice and strong today

155 x8
185 x8
205 x8
225 x8
235 x8 - rep PR +3
240 x7 - rep PR +2 - was going for 8-12 reps but my stupid grip was a pussy today. My ass on the other hand felt strong and involved.
240 x2 - decided to try my wrist wraps and hated it.
225 x2 - empty tank and grip to shit.
Split Squats
115 x 8
Barbell hip thrusts
195 x8 - felt lopsided and realized once I was done that I had not set it up right.
205 3x8 with 5 second hold on last rep.
Treadmill 3mph

Now I am fried and planning to eat 2 small steaks for supper. Thats it, just plenty of red meat with a beer.
