Awesome squatting! And loving the shorts. Powerlifting definitely agrees with you.
Hmm-mm!
I was actually about to buy some short shorts, now I’m hoping that I can find some that makes me look half as good as you do! sigh I was planning on squatting today but have too much shit to do. I was fine with that until I saw you squat. Now I’m getting antsy but must wait til tomorrow.
Awesome PRs though woman. Shit, your squats definetely improved, no? What did you do? Just the homework that you were doing for a while?
Masch - as others mentionned, those are the first thing I attack after reracking the bar. those things are painfull. And your right I added 20lbs to my last max attempts at depth. very very happy.
BG - come and get me girl especially now that my deads are going so well. Can’t wait to ramp them out to my new max, cause there will be a new max.
CBear - yup fully independant Frenchie doing my first ghetto knee wraps. In the past I would only use them in my PL gym so others could do it. I will admit they are not as tight as when others do it but tight enough to help.
Nadia, Snap & Brute - big thanks, you need days like these to fuel the frustrating one.
Charlie - a full on Mainy view it is for next time. I was using the side angle to judge depth.
Mim- totally out of the 5/3/1 context. I need to squat a little more to nail down all my cues and get used to handling the higher weights.
Joe - I’d wrap you in exchange foe a BBQ supper if I were remotely close to you
Cal - nice to hear it. I’ve been hovering near the 160lbs mark more than the 155lbs these days and I’ve decided to eat well and cut out the alcohol. we shall see if that is enough.

Do you have to unwrap those knee wraps everytime? Your shorts = perfect.

I must admit that this question made me laugh. I don’t even step outta the cage before I start unwrapping. If they’re doing their job, you absolutely can’t leave wraps on between sets or you’ll lose feeling in your lower legs PDQ. I know that PMPM, O, and I all wrap so tight that we are bruised after a session.
Congratulations, Mainy. Just awesome on the skwats.
I was surprised how long she was able to even tolerate them for the set. When I’m wrapped, I want to get under the bar and get the squat over with as quickly as possible so I can get those damn things off.

just been banging my head on the freakin wall for the past 6 months. lolz
sitting back - wall squats. bodyweight squats
glute activation - barbell humps/cable pull throughs
stretching - retard frogs everytime before and throughout
single leg work - barbell & DB lunges
Also I was doing pretty much full body workouts 3-4 times a week with my big lift as my first one. Since March I have switched to 2 full leg days and 1 upper body day.
squats & deads with legs
bench&millies - upper body.
my back has been well defined and strong for a while now but like a true sistard I was pushing aside what I was most weak at - leg stuff. So I’ve been doing the contrary and focusing on my weakness.
