Quest for Amazon Legs

Glad you’re feeling better! Time to move some weight!

Got to the gym all fired up.

foamed roll
retard frog stretches
bodyweight squats
wall squats 2x5

once I started moving my nose got clogged up again and I soon realized I was getting short of breath easily. What ever was in my lungs hadn’t totally left.

still I got down to business
bar x8
95 x5
115 x5
135 x3 - happy at how light it felt on my back.
155 x2 (no belt still)
185 x1.
205 - no go twice. had to dump the bar. Disappointed, was hoping all this forced reste was storing up for a 225 lift. hah!
135 x3
115 x5

and called it a day. was yawning half way through. My issue with the 205 were as follows:

  • didn’t keep my head up and back
  • didn’t keep tight in the hole.
  • couldn’t tap into the zone.

tomorrow is another battle.

I think I might be flexing a calf and a tricep in this one

Glad you (were) feeling better Mainy. Don’t let the 205 fuck with your head. You weren’t just “resting”, you were getting over a sickness, so it’s not surprising you had LWI issues. Don’t sweat it though, you’ll hit 225 in no time!

LWI!!

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayum

Work’s clearly paying off miss

Retarded Frog?

I would also like to suggest ‘safe search’ mode for anyone that tries to google it.

Looking lean and beautiful. Good work on the squats!

Lifting! Sexy picture! Frenchie feeling better! All is now well in my world.

Another neti pot vote. That thing does wonders for me with colds and their phlemy aftermath.

Enjoy the warmth and sun! We totally deserve it.

I look at colds as a means to kill off the weak cells (natural selection etc) so your body is rebuilding some new strong ones, it takes time though. Just keep feeding them well. Some extra vitamin D doesn’t hurt, so yes enjoy the sun.

I’m bringing my poti with me on the week long dive, just in case.

Nice pic, looks like you have amazing thick hair too.

Stunning pic! And yes, your hair looks like something I want to dive my face into. Lovely!

Glad you got back into the gym, Frenchie! And a great session too despite the residual sickness. Its great that you can pinpoint where your lacking during your workouts. Very important!

Frenchie! You weren’t resting, you were getting over feeling like death. Soon you’ll be feeling good again and 225 will be yours in no time.

I’d be happy to call out coaching commands the next time you squat if I can join the mainey, cbear, hallowed no-slumber party.

As usual that photo is beautiful and your hair is fantastic.

It’s the value of the vid.

I look like a spaghetti trying to hold up a meat ball.

  • No lower back arch to support the weight
  • my chest is not held up, my head is not held back

hence the fail. I’m posting this as a learning vid of what NOT to do. lol

Hubba hubba! Thanks for the picture. You look strong and beautiful.

Good work on the squats. 225 is at your doorstep. I second buckeye’s not resting but healing sentiments.

tried to edit my movie but moviemaker kept crashing for some reason. You can tell I’m upset cause I totally forgot about the camera. oh well.

Thanks for that. I learn so much from seeing things go wrong. You’ll get it next time.

@ 0:14 I can’t tell if you were doing a little dance or just getting into your belt. Nice forearm muscles too.

Well you know where you lost that squat and I’m with the others, when you’re a few days passed feeling so bad you’re going to hit 225.

To add to this, focusing on keeping your elbows down will help you keep your chest up and your upper back tight. I don’t know if this is a recurring problem for you, or if you just happened to do it in your squat fail video. It is a big challenge for me personally and one of those things that I have to always be conscious of and get frequent verbal cues for. Just another thing to add to your mental checklist if it’s not already in there.

glad your feeling better-
netti pot FTW

cant peep the video on the ipad…

you are so on the cusp of 225 just be patient

and your floors are amazingly lint and dust tree

I could definitely tell you were pissed about not getting it.

I noticed that when athletes get sick it can really drain their strength. I probably effects everyone the same way but people who are not training like you wouldn’t notice the difference as much. Next week it will be better.
