Benching is looking solid for your meet. The week off and good weather should give you lots of time to take pics.
so sorry I’ve been MIA in here, but a meet…so syked for you. Most do have a bad workout towards the end of prep for meet, really messes with the mental aspect but not the physical strength. Take your week off, do some light blood flow work and kill it at the meet.
Just an FYI, they have just established qualifiers for ‘Classic’ nationals for the fall. Will you be competing at your meet equipped or classic? Like the geared numbers, classic are really low. The qualifiers I’d posted earlier were for equipped and should be easy to get raw. Check out Canadian Powerlifting Union.

Joe - perhaps. I’m thinking of taking my bike out for a spin. Nothing as epic as Kimba’s rides but still fun.
Ouro - classic or RAW! Open = Class V if I understand the grid. In my weight group I need to reach 202.5kg which is 445.5lbs. I beat that back in March. No worries. I just need to NOT screw this up, start with some nice easy weights and I’m in the game.
all right, lunch breaks over. Back to work! ![]()

Yes you read it correctly. 202.5. For perspective, my first meet I did 225 raw weighing 54.9kg. Somehow I don’t think it’s a stretch for you.
Benching looks good! Good luck with the meet, I know you’ll kill it.
Go Frenchie!
Nice lifting in here… as always. Solid bench! Now I need to go back and catch up on when the meet is going down. If I remember correctly it is pretty soon. Sorry that I’m braindead.
Have fun riding your bike!
Thanks Ladies!

struggled with form and depth all night. finally got it on my last rep. Decided to call it a night and rewarded myself with a coffee baileys and a bacon cheeseburger with chipotle house mayo. oh yeah.
Sounds like a long day. Glad you hit on the last rep.
Sounds like you ended the workout on a strong note
Dinner sounds like it was delicious.

^Bacon Cheeseburgers on Krispy Kremes.
Now get over here and let me rub your back. You’ll be on it again in a day or so.
mmm… coffee bailys and cheeseburger ![]()
that is one of the most disgusting things i’ve ever seen pp ![]()
sorry to hear you didn’t feel awesome about your last session. can’t remember how many sessions like that i’ve had… two steps forwards one step back… sometimes it feels like the reverse but so much progress in this log.
Yes that does look foul. Ugh! Did that come from thisiswhyyourefat.com? (I’m sad to see that website is no more).
Meets this weekend isn’t it? Good luck and hit some PR’s for me.
Oh my. This weekend? Yowsie! I’m following along . . .
Light weights, white lights. Light weights, white lights.
Are you getting antsy for the weekend yet? I wouldn’t know what to do with myself.
And those cheeseburgers look nasty. They’re like the lunch version of the McGriddle…Has anyone ever tried those things? The idea is just so yuck to me and I eat all kinds of awful crap.
Hey there.
Hope your takin her easy…
I’m reading a book right now, which I’m SURE you’ve heard of… “French Women Don’t get Fat.”
I can picture you saying a lot of what is talked about.
Go get it girl !! So excited for you.
Nadia - so did I ![]()
BG - dinner was THE awesome and I am starting to feel antsy because part of me is starting to feel burnt and it just ain’t the time to stop. I’m bribing myself will plenty of rest and wine post meet.
PP- I’ll accept the back rub gladly but I might pass on those donut thingys.
Alexv- 2 steps forward and one step back is part of the game if you plan to stick around for the long run. Not always easy to remember but very true.
Cal- I’ll take sticky toffee pudding over that anyday.
Joe - yup, and so is yours so right back at ya my Grill Knight.
Snap - no yowsie, a lot of people have a lot going on these days.
MIM- The french have developed quite the love affair with food. The trick at heart is that there is NO taboo. NO bad food if it is homemade, and done with passion and carring. The trick is learning portion control and hunger triggers and filling up on wonderful seasonal veg. Especially at this time of the year a little eggplant and zucchini on the grill! yummmmm,
LilP- I’ll need to channel some SuperP strength woman ![]()
Another long day today. Need to get some fresh nomm for the fridge. Planning on an incredibly light squat day tomorrow and wall squats for hip flexibility throughout the week. We are driving down friday night after work.
Cheers
F
Best of luck for the meet Frenchie, we’re all pulling for you.
