Quest for Amazon Legs

I’m thinking my attemps will be:

Edit: G seems to think I’m being to aggresive…

Squats
190
215 - for a PR
225 - for a PR - the 4 big wheels would be mighty cool

revised: 175, 190, 215 for PR.

Best gym PR 205lbs. Best meet score 181.5lbs.

Bench - This hasn’t budged for me in 6 months so just hoping to get a basic 140lbs really.
140
145
150

revised: 135, 140, 145

Best gym PR with PAUSE is 140lbs. Best meet score is 137.5lbs

Deads
285 - I’m figuring if I could do 275 for an ugly double last week I should be ok to start out with this.
305 - for a PR
315 - for a PR - 6 wheel club perhaps??

revised: 265, 285, 305 -PR

Best gym PR 295. Best meet score is 258.5lbs This lift should give me a solid extra 30lbs to my total.

March’s meet total was 577.5lbs. I’m looking to add a minimum of 50lbs to this total. Good news is that the RAW or Classic category has officially been added the QPA and CPA which gives me the extra incentive to perform well.

“Raw - means only a lifting belt and a singlet lifting suit are allowed, no knee sleeves or wraps and no elbow sleeves. Wrist wraps are allowed.”

good thing I’ve only brought out the knee wraps once in six months. I haven’t been using the “pop” all that much so my progress is legit.

I’ve pretty much figured this out over the last few days. It seems like subconsciously I was planning this shit. lolz.

You rock frenchie! - but I might caution you on the openers, especially since this is to qualify. I assume that you need a total but, if there isn’t a specific number to hit, make damn sure you get a total.

Your proposed openers look a tad challenging.

excellent pulling, great numbers

pics are cool too, keep up the work!

Just pulled out the qualification standards for my weight group (72kg) for the provincials to see what those looked like…

522.5lbs. No reason why I couldn’t best this.

I should report you!!
just teasin…

so my opening should be easier? let me rethink this.

Too teteux for you???

My take is to qualify first and rock the PRs second. You have plenty of room to set your openers to something you can do coming off a three day binge with no sleep.

Verify that with Louis, just send him a quick e-mail to be sure you are looking at the right numbers. Don’t plan on making PRs though. IF one the day, you are feeling it, then go for it on your 3rd attempt. You do not want to bomb in the squats. Open light and tight.
Look at this meet as a gateway for big numbers in the fall at the provincials, get what you need from Ste-Marie to get to the next level. Think of it as the beginning of a marathon, the end is a little less than a year away, at Nationals.

I know this is not an easy thing to do, holding back a tad that is. I bombed in my 3rd meet, trying to beat my provincials total one year. Good luck!

Yay for all the big wheels! Good grief you are so strong and your numbers seem to just keep goin’ up. Inspiring!

And I love the poems from you and Maschy. Nothing like young love. No need for weed. All that infatuation makes you HIGH enough!! I’m glad you guys are saving these things. It’s cool to look back and remember.

Good luck! We will both get plenty of PRs June 11th!

Some good advice in here N!

seriously I only pulled out the rehashed when I wanted to get in someone’s pants. Somehow that worked very well. lolz.[/quote]

Lol, I don’t doubt it for a moment that you would have been my rival, however, everyone in my class loved my poems. Mostly because they hadn’t heard it 15 times right before.

Who do you model yourself after if I could ask?

Plan looks really good French, hows you weight in comparison to yur class?

Diana - hadn’t thought about it that way. A marathon hmmm. I might have reset my numbers a third time…

PP - I even kept all my crappy stuff I wrote since I was thirteen

Shakespeare Who??

Brawless, brainy teacher
you strut and wiggle
with nipples jaunt-a-jiggle
smiling, you have the student’s attention
-for once.

But eyeballs are oogling your tight sweater
Your breasts b-bouncing as you stutter.

Kalle - I can’t lose is we’re lifting the same day. The stars are alligned for greatness!

Mim- I agree thanks for stopping by

BC - are you asking who were my literary inspirations? or whom I modeled my crap from?

Joe- Weighed 154 at last meet. Yesterday after a good breakfast I was 159. Need to be no more than 158. Plan is to be lifting around 157. I’m not worried.

Both.

I’m with Diana and soldog on the numbers. I’ve always been told to open with a number that you could triple. Or something you know you could do even at your worst.

The goal here isn’t to match or get close to previous PRs, the goal with openers is to get a lift in and keep moving. Sure there’s such a thing as opening too light, but I’d definitely prefer an easy opener that’s sunk (or paused for.ev.er.) instead of opening with a close call. Especially if you’re looking to qualify for bigger and better. Get your total, but save the big PRs for final attempts and the big meet.

Did you write that when you were 13? Brawless. Love it. I have some stuff I wrote when I was 13, too. Journals that are hilarious now. Have a good weekend, Frenchie! xo

Your revised meet attempts look good, looking forward to hearing how much ass you kick at it!

my revised numbers are in line with this.
easy triple openers
PR on 3rd attempt

I have a master’s in english lit and used to write tons during class inspired by what we read and discussed.

I did model my “crap” pseudo romantic stuff on the classics finding the rehash from Shakespeare, John Milton and others.

My true inspirations were contemporary writers from the 70’s on. I loved discussions of gender, social contruct and expectations. My thesis was on Margeret Atwood’s “Surfacing”, Leonard Cohen’s “Beautiful Losers” and Marian Engel’s “Bear” arguing that “deviant” sexuality was both projected onto and drawn form the natural “wild and untamed” canadian landscape. Basically I was arguing that canadians were naturally “deviant”.

judging from your classical approach this would have rubbed your fur the wrong way
