Q & A, PW Style

well, I can’t speak for Cal but if you kept talking about it, I’d probably cry…or punch you in the face.

not sure why exactly. The tomboy in me that never talked about that stuff…ew.

Oh MiMsy, I’m pretty sure this is where we come to be girls.

That’s ok, I’m comfortable dealing with either situation.

That’s about the only thing I’m girly about…that and mani/pedis when I can afford them. Which will be the next thing I add when I get a couple of bills paid off.

Sorry…

I love a mani but I wash my hands too much so they only last for 24 hours before chipping. I just save them for special occasions. As for a pedi? I can rock one of those for weeks! Speaking of… have you tried a gel acrylic on your toes? I did it when we went on vacation this spring and it looked freshly done for 6 weeks. Eventually my nails started to grow out but wow was it great! They are especially great with wearing socks and shoes so much in the gym because the paint won’t wear off!

Did I get too girly there? Sorry.

mani-pedi’s are acceptable convo.

but we need future pics of fresh pedi and discussion of favorit color.

currently sporting Malagna Wine on my toes and as recommended by our tiny ninja; a sheer on the hands. Thinking of going french on my feet next time.

I have OPI vodka and Caviar on now ( a red) in ode to the things I can’t have right now! I do OPI bubble bath on my hands (super sheer)

French on toes looks great. I do it in the summer sometimes. Not sure of your weather right now but if you’ll be wearing a lot of closed toe shoes the white polish will wear off.

I just got this done a week and a half ago after all the muddy activities. I needed a little cleaning up. Its OPI’s “No pain no gain”

The mud run I did was full of hotties. Will return!

stop being such girls!!!

And yes if we were IRL Cal and I would be in the corner blushing, with our ears covered, going ‘lalalalalalalala…’[/quote]

And I’d be spread eagled showing everyone the awesomeness that is laser!

  1. Get laser young. I don’t have gray on my head, but a few down in the neutral zone have to be plucked or be visible now.

  2. I always wear panties. If I don’t, I feel all, I don’t know, loose and exposed.

I’ve never had a mani/pedi…

just typing it, ugh!

I guess I’d run away crying pmpm.

You owe it to yourself to at least get a pedicure! It’s heaven when they rub your feet and calves. Plus… Your feet just look a hundred times better and you feel pretty!

Yeah, I remember your laser pic in TK. It made me very jealous!!!

Oh I don’t care if people talk about feminine stuff - I have some pretty graphic conversations about buttsecks with my gay friends after all. I do tend to my ladygarden so that it doesn’t resemble Osama Bin Laden - I just DIY. I shave everything else - it’s cheaper. I’d get my legs waxed if I had more time and money.

As for hands and feet, I don’t bother with manis - being a PE teacher, using the computer a lot and going to the gym means nail polish wouldn’t last five minutes. But I do have a huge array of colours for my toes. Currently they are teal.

Seriously, does anyone here have regular manicures that do last more than a day or so? I know that the gel ones are supposed to last longer and that acrylics seem to hold color forever, but I’m a DIY girl when it comes to that stuff.

I lift, work makes my nails chip easily, and I’m just too damn cheap to pay someone to paint my nails. If I can go a day and a half without chipping, I consider my effort a success…At least my toes have been perfect for almost two weeks now.

No. I only get a mani for extra special dress up occasions, so maybe that’s once or twice a year. The lifetime of my nail polish is measured in hours, not days.

I’ve never had a manicure, I really have zero desire to. I bite my nails too much anyway for them to last and I think I’d get too distracted by the colors on my hands!

I love getting pedicures though. I couldn’t care less about having paint on my toes but I like the experience.

What I really want is a facial though, never had one and I feel like my pores and skin could really use it.

what I really want is a tropical vacation.

Hey, have any of you ever tried these per-workout supps that are mixed with a whole bunch of stuff? (caffeine, creatine, beta-alanine,the list goes on)

As it is I only down 1/2 a rockstar or redline.
But a supp with other stuff that may benefit training( creatine) PLUS give me energy sounds interesting.

I did my nails a week ago and they are still 99% perfect.
Use OPI polish, base and top coat, and be sure that there is no residue on your nails from cuticle lotion etc. before you start. A spritz of rubbing alcohol takes care of that.
I find that the colors make a difference in how long the polish stays. Bright metallics chip fast.

I use those Mims- as you have insomnia and sleep issues, not sure it’s the greatest idea but you could always try.

usually the company recommends 2 scoops 30 mins before… I take 1 scoop that I sip during. And even with cutting the dosage in half I still have some sleep issues once in a while.

ask for samples - the stores usually have some.

different brands have different levels of stims so you might have to try a few before finding something that you really like.

I wax my own. I live and teach in a small town and don’t need my graduated students or their moms looking at my vaj
