So, I do Surge with a scoop of extra BCAAs on lifting days, but am just starting to get serious about intervals to lose some fat.
What should I be doing about Pre/Post Workout nutrition for intervals? If the goal is to lose fat without losing any muscle, I’ve read that fasted (I eat breakfast an hour or two earlier, so not really fasted) workout is a good way to go. But I’ve also read that getting lots of protein is still important to prevent muscle loss.
The problem with Surge in this case is the load of carbs. The trouble with straight BCAAs is they taste like ass if they’re not mixed in with something that provides a dominant flavor. I’m not really trying to fuel a workout so much as fuel muscle maintenance while burning fat.
