alright alright you got me. I can’t answer that with a well thought out explanation. ::kicks dirt::
I guess all I can say is that we wouldn’t be able to know since we never gave it a try. well played sir.
Not really well played at all. We wouldn’t have the freedoms we have without our military. Anyone who doesn’t see that is a moron and not even worth debating with.[/quote]
I agree LM. That’s why I called troll earlier. I don’t wanna waste my time on them anymore. I fully back the military in every way, don’t get me wrong. I just fell for the troll attack and now i’m backin out.

Yeah, I hear you. Lift will lead you around asking semi related questions while getting bogged down in so much theory that he completely loses sight of what is real and practical. I don’t think he actually means any harm, he’s just a moron.

Huh?! Completely false. No American who has died in war has died defending my beliefs. This is a completely imaginary concept and serves only has a rhetorical jumping-off point for the politically connected, power-mad individuals that profit from war.
Holding false beliefs like the ones you spout is akin to pissing on the graves of those dead you worship.

You, me, and everyone else would be speaking German right now if you were correct, and thank God you aren’t. And personally I don’t care to learn German.
The man was part of a mission to kill Ahmad Shah, a Taliban leader. His pals and himself went to the Afghan mountains, and were soon surrounded by…you guessed it: pissed off Afghans! The guy was the only survivor and got knocked out by an explosion, and offered shelter in a village. The elder then contacted the US military to get a handsome reward.
Sounds like a professional murderer to me. A “hero” is someone who selflessly puts himself in harm’s way. This guy wasn’t protecting anyone and got paid to top it off.

The reason the US hasn’t been attacked in so long is because of the strength of our military. If it didn’t exist, you’d have found out a long time ago how much we needed it. No one tries to take down the strongest guy.
After all if you truly didn’t believe you need a military or to use violence to defend others, you’d move to Africa. But I don’t know anyone moving TO Africa, I have friends that moved FROM Africa though, precisely because they have no one to defend them.
It’s a cycle: the more successful we are, the less we think we need defense. Until we dwindle it down to nothing then we’ll need it again.

Lixy, we’re all aware of how fond you are of everything anti-american. Therefore your opinion doesn’t mean anything…to anyone.

brilliant rebuttal.
perhaps I should concede your point and admit defeat
despite our differences of opinion on multiple topics, we can agree that when those kids killed a dog it was wrong.
(you’ll notice how I didn’t say that killing any animal is wrong, and anyone who can’t see that is a moron…)

A professional murderer would have killed those kids, without hesitation. How stupid can you be, to trespass on a recovering Navy SEAL’s property! You are asking for death. He is a professional SOLDIER, who is able to show restraint when needed, which he did. His training with the NAVY SEALS and BUDS is INSANE to say the least. He can kill you a million ways, but it his professionalism that allowed him to NOT kill the kids. He is a professional SOLDIER, and those kids are hella lucky.

Most in the PWI forum are conservative. I don’t think I could bear to read if it weren’t. It’s entertaining to watch the non conservatives get torn up on a consistent basis.
So does anyone have a legitimate argument against Lift? I see a lot of name calling and finger pointing. He makes a valid point.
What our wars are fought for, have absolutely nothing to do with my beliefs. I do not consider men who volunteer to do things I do not like “heroes”. Even if they are bonafied badasses for doing them

The point is we are allowed to believe what we want without punishment BECAUSE of our military. It is a freedom provided BY OUR MILITARY. If you can’t see that, like I said, you’re a moron.

He’s a civilian now living in the USA. Killing kids over a dog would have put him in an unenviable situation.
In Afghanistan, however, he was a professional killer who, not only got away with murder, but was cheered for doing so.
Look, those kids are punks. Lowlife scumbag punks. I didn’t challenge that part. Bastards have to pay for what they did to the dog.
I just stated that this man does not fit my definition of hero.
That he went through a grueling training and the number of ways he can kill me are completely irrelevant to his heroism.
I didn’t make a judgment on the man’s character. Just said that he was paid to murder people in Afghanistan, and that doesn’t necessarily make you a hero.
