Those “frenchies” pullups look very challenging. Anyone out there tried them yet?
What I did to improve my pullups was doing Pavel’s “greasing the grove” technique. You do 1/2 of your max, three times a day. For example if 12 reps is your max, do 6 reps - three sets/in the morning/afternoon/night. Every two weeks, increase your rep count to 1 more rep.
I did this routine for about two months and I increased my pullup rep count to 28. Good luck.

They’re really tough but if you stick with them your pullup endurance will definitely improve. Because they’re so tough I think a lot of people abandon them before they reap any benefit.
Don’t worry about being out of shape. If you get in trouble, the Uninted States will be here to save you once again!!
Check out Dragondoor.com there is a guy that posts on there with pullup programs that go beyond just greasing the groove.
I can’t remember his name though.

One of my main goals is to become a pull ups master, as I am seriously thinking about joining the army.
Army physical fitness test: push ups, sit ups 2 mile run
Whatever Marines call their fitness test : pullups, sit ups, 3 mile run
don’t know if this will have any effect on your goals, but thought you should know, pullups aren’t really a big deal in the army, being a push up master would make basic training even more of a breeze than its already becoming, so maybe focus on those more. also, practice things like burpees, walking while in an ATG position, and det good at flutterkicks too. good luck
notice he’s from France, not the States…there could be different requirements.[/quote]
Oops, nothing like playing into the stereotype that all of us Americans think everything should be our way, my bad.
