Here is a question to ponder, but first the background.
There are laws that make discrimination based on race, sex, sexual preference, etc illegal. Yet AA proponents state that it doesn’t work because it is difficult to prove.
So the question is; if AA allows the best qualified person to get a job regardless of race, etc., then how can it be proven under AA that someone is discriminating? If all the most qualified candidates do not fit in the AA preferred types of people, and I hire them, how can it be proven under AA that it is discrimination?
My point is that if AA truly allows the best candidate to be hired, then it cannot be enforced any better than the existing anti-discrimination laws. And if that is the case then AA is not needed.
