As said before, this is not PSMF and titling it as such is probably causing you more mental anguish than necessary.
200*4 = 800cal
1700-800 = 900cal of random, untracked macros. I find this concerning tbh.
Looking at your creatinine levels, it looks like your weight training isn’t that heavy or intense, but maybe that’s just me speaking as a meat head.
Your test levels are relatively low and your oestradiol levels are high; this is likely due to excess body fat (not being insulting here, just factual). These do not bode well for fat loss.
Your HbA1C sounds like you are diabetic or pre-diabetic perhaps? I’m not super educated here so don’t quote me.
Your solution here is to dial in your diet and stop eating your feelings.
More activity won’t hurt any; if you aren’t dropping 0.5-1kg/week at your weight, you should be adding 10 minutes of cardio per day.
If social events make it all too likely to overeat, then you either need to start pre-gaming these events by eating a large protein based meal first OR stop going to these events. 3rd option is to get some self-restraint.
These are lifestyle changes you must adopt if you plan to lose the weight and keep it off.
If you view your diet as a temporary thing until you lose the weight, you WILL put that weight back on when you’re ‘done’ dieting.
Old post, but it caught my attention.
First, how are people counting calories?
By reading a label? Those can be very inaccurate. Some measures I have read estimate that it can be up to 20%
Second, what is a Calorie? the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 kg of water by 1°C.
So? Do our bodies heat water in a closed system like the labs and then use the warmed water to turn food into stored fat or to power our systems?
Are you taking your eliminated food and popping that into a bomb calorimeter and measuring the heat generated to take those Calories away from the ingested Calories to measure if you’re in a calorie deficit. Subtracting poop calories from the flawed number of ingested calories total to check deficit levels?
All I am saying is that the Calorie counting method is based on averages taken long ago, can be hugely flawed, and ignores the complexity of digestion as well as the preparation of the food that can drastically impact the bioavailability.
So if calories are completely bogus and the measurement systems for these bogus units of measurement are up to 20% off, what method do you suggest for estimating calorie/macronutrient intake?
You are overthinking it. Just be consistent. People have been getting lean for a long time, bodybuilders have been getting to single digit bf% counting macros for decades with no issues. Maybe stop depending on fake over processed food and eat real food.
