A similar sandbox anti-hero/superhero game, but far more violent and over the top than inFamous - absorbing monsters into your own skin = fucking awesome!! : )
I have it. I got bored in 2 hours. You see, I have both Hulk video games from the PS2 and the PS3…and that is all that game basically is. I can play Hulk and destroy shit…and I can play Assassin’s Creed and run from the enemy then blend into the crowd to escape. I think playing INfamous first ruined that game for me.
I’m reintroducing myself to console gaming after having mostly played Real-Time Strategy games on my PC for the past decade. Basic hack’n’slash games are ok, but I tire of them easily. How would you compare the depth of Assassin’s Creed, Infamous, GTA, and Spiderman with one another in terms of story line and side missions?

Side missions in Infamous are cool as hell. It feels like spy games. The story line is well worked out and interesting enough to keep your attention until you beat the game. The “moral dilemma” aspect of the game makes it that much smarter. All around, anything they could have done better on it is mostly nitpicking…like the fact that he can’t kick down fences apparently. It gives you enough time to get new powers and learn to use them.
Side missions in Assassin’s Creed are not as interesting. The most interesting part of it is escaping from guards and fighting them off. The time traveling aspect (or DNA experience, whatever you want to call it) is what makes it cool and elevates the game. I hope in the sequel they make the side missions more enjoyable.
GTA SA was the first open world free roaming game I really got into. I had played Spiderman games before that are free roaming, but overall they were pretty weak aside from being able to swing around New York. I hated GTA4.
Spiderman - Web of Shadows was pretty well thought out. I am not sure why it didn’t get talked about more. It was nothing like the previous “movie” games and there were enough cameos to keep any comic book nerd happy. You fight zombies in a destroyed New York landscape. Yeah, that’s cool enough to play through at least once.

You meant Metal Gear Solid 2.
it was good but number 1 was far better.
The original was great!..I guess you can say that its originality is what makes it great. Paved the way for part 2…which I just happened to enjoy more.

Thanks.
I’ll pick up either Spiderman:WOS or Assassin’s Creed next time I’m downtown. Infamous intrigues me, but I’ll wait for the price to drop.

LOL…didn’t think about the name…although it stems from nickname while working in corrections…Big Bossman…like the WWF wrestler back in the day.
^You love Metal Gear 1!
I remember I got PSone for xmas with that game and it was so much fun we never had anything like it before. Snapping guys necks and getting the bandanna and stealth so much fun. I remember one guy would go piss in a urinal and we would put C4 in it and blow him up lol.

dude you dont no how much i love it, i really think its the best game ever on any platform.
It really did bring a lot to the table being one of the first games to come out for the PS one. I played all the Metal Gear Solid games that would come out soon after the first one!

snake eater was the worst one, and the most recent wasnt to good either i think they became to much like shoot em ups.
mmmm best game of all time. Console? That’s a tough one. I’d choose Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6 for the best all time RPG, with Xenogears being a close second.
I’m not an LoZ Ocarina of Time groupie- I tend to like the older stuff, guess my age is showing. I prefer LttP.
As far as platformers go, I’'d choose Super Metroid or Mega Man 2.
For fighting games… mmmm… I’d go with Garou: Mark of the Wolves.
For SHMUP- I dunno, I’d go with the Touhou Project series, but that’s PC… I’ll have to say Ikaruga. Sorry Radiant Silvergun people.
For stealth- can’t beat the original Thief, sorry. Metal Gear Solid 1 is the best on the console, however.
For puzzle, I like the magical drop series or super puzzle fighter.
That’s my list. I’d like to respond to the Fight Night Round 4 question- the controls might be an issue for someone who loved Fight Night Round 3. The learning curve is much steeper. You need to learn to use your analog sticks- play like you’re really fighting a guy. This has discouraged many people I know who are rabid fans of the series.

Thief is a great game.I thought I was the only one out there who liked it.Third one kinda sucked.
No way. Thief is the best stealth game ever made. I mean- I remember the first time I played it, and of course, I had my headphones on and the lights off, because it’s the only way to appreciate it. And I’m creeping around the castle in the beginning, and there’s people talking in the next room, and I see the guy I gotta take out with my arrow, but I creep out a little too far into the corridor and I’m spotted by guards. They call backup. I laugh and retreat into the doorway, thinking the magical “invisible doorway trick” will work. BACKUP COMES. My mind was blown. The second one was great too, the area where that ghost with the chains is dragging itself up and down the stairs, with all the whispery sound effects- chilling.
The third one was a joke, I bought it right away because I was so excited they’d brought the concept to the console, then it turns out to be like the horrid Perfect Dark Zero- they put footprints on the ground for people who can’t figure out how to get through the level. Thanks for the nerf, assholes.
