Hell yes! People that are arguing this RE5 stuff need to realize that while it was decent, above average game…it does not have that “hair on the back ya neck” feeling that the early franchise had. Dead Space was the first game in a long time that gave me the “old” feeling…even in the ending. Hopefully a sequel is in the works.
Also,Capcom could learn a thing or two from Dead Space concerning the controls and movements of the characters…get with the program Capcom.
Yeah,I noticed that your comments were going over most people’s heads.

Bioshock?
Have you played it?
That was the most intense game in a long time…
“Jesus loves me this I know, cause the bible tells me so… dingding”
And the whole Randian philosophy part and the back story and the taoes that get more and more depressing…

Awesomness.
Oh yes…don’t know why I counted out Bioshock. Have you seen the gameplay previews for Bioshock 2?
Haha, I am misunderstood. I meant from a scary point of view - the game itself was good and me and a friend finished it in a weekend.
But it just didn’t make me jump like the earlier mentioned version.
Yeah yeah yeah keep backtrackin back to ya momma!
Agreed wasn’t too scary; and I’ll admit there were times the controls had me frustrated as shit, believe me the neighbors heard me screaming obscenities at that game.
Still a shitload of fun though, definitely not ONE OF THE TOP 10 WORST SEQUELS OF ALL TIME as according to the people at X-Play.
Dead Space was freaky, but F.E.A.R. 2 did it for me. The invisible ninjas and the damn ghosts in the pitch black rooms…shit was brutal!
Dude, the gaming shows hostesses these days are awesome. Olivia Nunn on Attack of the Show and Morgan Webb on X-Play…doesn’t get much better than that.
Yeah man, I don’t think they really play video games. Girls that hot don’t play video games.
Morgan Webb, Jesus H Christ…want bad, want real real bad.
Though did she get a breast reduction? I seem to remember her rockin some bigger cans back in the day. I hope she’s just good at hiding them, though I wish she wouldnt.

Yah man I googled her after seeing you mention her in your first post and the pics I saw her boobs didn’t look that big. I seem to remember a few years back they looked massive in her shirts.

Any of you guys that played it tried #2? How is it?
It’s the fucking shit, though I make sure it’s like 2 AM, all light’s off and surround sound is max before I play it, it’s quite the experience and the ending is just fucking disturbing–getting mindfucked and raped at the same time…but by a creepy girl.
why would you give away the ending like that?
Without a SPOILER ALERT no less.
F.E.A.R. 2 is damn good and damn scary.
That’s not really giving the ending away, that’s like saying that in Episodes 1-3 of Star Wars (after seeing 4-6) that Anakin will become Darth Vader. It’s not just that one little part which is basically plainly obvious after playing even a bit of that game. Though point taken.

Dude there are like three Fatal Frame games that have been released in the U.S. I hear the 3rd one is like ten times scarier than the original, I’m gonna have to play it someday. No doubt that Dead Space was an awesome game, but I really only found the begginning and the end to be spine tingling. I think RE4 and RE5 could have been much scarier if they kept the zombies instead of changing it to the “Plagas” or whatever. I felt like I was just fighting regular dudes most of the time, in a semi regular setting. There were only a few enemies, mostly bosses, that made me go “OH SHIT.” It was things like walking past a group of zombies while they were feeding and then them suddenly noticing you, or walking past a dead body and then it suddenly reaching up to fucking get you, or constantly being stalked by a tyrant, or fearing that zombies or lickers where going to bust through the windows, that made those games scary. That plus the fucked up atmosphere, and feeling overwhelmed most of the time (the heroes in 4 or 5 are almost too badass for you to be scared) I also agree about the controls, it was forgivable with the first 2 or three games because the point of playing them was to have the shit scared out of you, but when it got less scary and more action oriented, they would have done well to make the controls more fluid.

Oh yeah my friend would always talk about that game…he said he almost shit his pants a few times. RE for the win though…I wont lie I’ve jumped a few times playing the older ones.
I have to get me a ps3 now, price dropped. So more enticing now!~
Man I played Fatal Frame a few years ago with the lights on and a friend for moral support, and was still scared shitless. We were supposed to be taking turns, but that fucker was too scared, made me do the whole damn thing.
Does anyone remember The Shalebridge Cradle from Thief: Deadly Shadows (the third game of the series)? It was my first scary video game experience, and sadly, the last. It might just be the last big, game-studio made game I finished.
The main character, Garrett, enters this abandoned insane asylum & orphanage which was partly destroyed in a fire. The sounds and the sad atmosphere along with stories (in diaries, stuff of the patients etc.) of the places past really build up the tension. I can’t really compare it to other games, but it sure as hell was way more scary than any movie I have seen.
My English skills can’t really do it justice, here’s a thread on another forum about the level: Cradle. Dear God...
And here’s an article about it: http://gillen.cream.org/thecradle.pdf
It’s a good read, even if you haven’t played the game. Contains spoilers, of course.
