PS3: Dead Space is too Disturbing For Me!

waffles

you’re shitting me. Try playing it past the first two levels, at that point the monsters and set pieces start becoming repetitive (one of the game’s few weaknesses). Personally I was freaked out till the 2nd level, then I figured out how to kill the monsters efficiently and it was a breeze. Despite this, the game’s pretty enjoyable. Suck it up, pick your balls up from the floor and play it (unless you have something better to do).

Thought DOOM 4 [think it was 4] had some creepy moments. It was way more story based than the other DOOMs. Gonna have to check some of these games out.
3 actually. It fell into the trap of being repetitive with the monster attacks, but still very enjoyable. However, can you say “easiest final boss ever”.

Fuck you!

Pancakes Forever!

Stick it in her pooper?

P.S.: RE5 was the shit, I’m convinced everyone who said it sucked read reviews first, and then just experience confirmation bias while playing the game because they were looking for shit to rag on just because some magazine said it sucked.

You know, whatever respect you had from me, you lost with this statement.

That goddamn TV show with Morgan Webb (HOT -DO WANT!) rated RE5 as one of the top 10 worst sequels of all time.

I have NO IDEA why - my roommate and I played that fucking game nonstop when we got it until we beat the absolute dogshit out of it. It was AWESOME.

you suck.
Haha, I am misunderstood. I meant from a scary point of view - the game itself was good and me and a friend finished it in a weekend.

But it just didn’t make me jump like the earlier mentioned version.

Fatal Frame is by far the scariest I’ve played.

As for the RE4/5…well they were more so of action games than horror ones.

Fatal Frame was fuckin freaky!

Nope, not for me. I had not heard or read anything about this game before I played it - I just got it with the XBox that I bought from someone. I played all of the RE’s before this one though, so I know the series. I did not like this one.

It’s not even remotely scary. It’s just an action game like there are so many of out there. Except, RE5 holds on to it’s awkard controls that worked back when there were zombies around the corner of tight corridors. If they plan to make RE more of an action series that’s fine with me, there are other scary games that I can play. But for fuck’s sake put some effort into smooth controls then. If running and shooting is most of what I will be doing then I wish to be doing it comfortably and intuitively, which is NOT how it worked in RE5.

This wasn’t my only problem with this game but it contributed most to my overall negative experience. I also just did not enjoy many parts and elements of the gameplay. The only reason I finished it was because I played it together with my roommate and it doesn’t matter how sucky a game is - if you play it together it usually becomes fun if only because you can bitch together about how bad it is. If I played it by myself I probably would have given up 1,5 hours into it or something.

What did you guys like so much about it?

What’s with the ball sucking for Resident Evil 5? It was panned because it wasn’t a good game. I didn’t read the reviews but I just didn’t like it that much, it wasn’t shit, just really, really didn’t like the control set up and the fact it has become a 3rd person shooter.

I just spent half the time in battles frustrated when you want to whip out a grenade, accidentally pull out some piss weak gun, return to the inventory, realise that now you need health, chock down some herbs, whip out the gun, then think shit, “why did I go into the inventory again?”. It’s at this point you realise you’ve run out of ammo and have to change again.

Dead Space was cool, but I agree it becomes repetetive a few levels in. I haven’t played F.E.A.R. yet, I may give it a try soon.

Maybe your just bad at video games cause I didn’t have that problem.

Maybe, but I think I’m pretty good and I’ve wasted enough of my life on them. I’m no pro but I kick the ass of most people I know (some who waste similar amounts of time). It was just an awkward set up so I stopped playing it - I had plenty of better games to play.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors FTW!!! Fuckin chainsaw dudes coming outta bushes and shit. Scariest/funniest shit ever

Dude, the gaming shows hostesses these days are awesome. Olivia Nunn on Attack of the Show and Morgan Webb on X-Play…doesn’t get much better than that.

I thought Clive Barker’s Undying was scary as hell.

The basement scenes in half-life when you had to get to the elevator and the only weapons left were cans of gas and welding tanks got my blood pumping pretty good too.

Oh yeah my friend would always talk about that game…he said he almost shit his pants a few times. RE for the win though…I wont lie I’ve jumped a few times playing the older ones.

I have to get me a ps3 now, price dropped. So more enticing now!~

To bad Layla Kayleigh left G4 Network. I don’t watch ABDC, but I saw her for a brief moment before the VMA’s and she was preggo!! But still damn HOT…

RE5 is a great game, graphics, gameplay etc… but it was not scary compared to the older RE games. The best RE game IMO was Code Veronica on the dreamcast, I think it also came out on the PS2 as well…

Fatal Frame is a fucking scary game. All you do is hunt for ghosts and take pictures of them. I’m sure if they did another sequel for next gen systems, it would probably be even scarier.

Hell yes! People that are arguing this RE5 stuff need to realize that while it was decent, above average game…it does not have that “hair on the back ya neck” feeling that the early franchise had. Dead Space was the first game in a long time that gave me the “old” feeling…even in the ending. Hopefully a sequel is in the works.

Also,Capcom could learn a thing or two from Dead Space concerning the controls and movements of the characters…get with the program Capcom.

is fatal frame for 360?
