Protein Shakes on an Off Day

On a non training day, what is the best time to have a protein shake.

I’m taking Sci-MX lean Grow Extreme.
It has 53 g of protein with some Gradual release system stuff so it’s basically a blend of whey, milk, soy and casein protein extracts/isolates.

I was thinking i should have breakfast. 2 hours later one shake, Go on with my day and have the next one before sleep.

Any thoughts?

Protein shakes are just special kinds of food.

Times to use a protein shake:

-first thing in the morning to quickly get the body anabolic and refueled
-before, during, and especially after training to fuel muscle growth
-anytime you are in a hurry or do not have access to quality whole food
-anytime your diet calls for a meal with low fat and/or carbs and you don’t have other options

You don’t HAVE to have a protein shake on your off days. It’s not magic. It’s food.

I have one every morning.

I’m just asking what is the best time to have it on off days.

The body repairs itself most during sleep. I’d rank them #1 before bed, #2 upon rising; on an off day. If you only do two these days make it first and last things. On a training day, IMO I take a protein shake an hour before, during and an hour after training.

i second the night time as a shake time.

either right before you pass out; or keep it in the bathroom and drink it in the middle of the night.
