Protein Shake Only on Workout Days?

Hey there, I’ve just started consuming protein shakes and they’re pretty expensive for my packet. and I thought of taking the shake only on workout days instead of everyday. could this be a problem if I don’t get the same amount of protein everyday? I mean, if you can count it by days, cant you count it by weeks and it would be the same?

it shouldn’t be a problem, as long as you get at least 1,5 g protein per kg of bodyweight per day

consuming more may have additional beneficial effects, but those are really marginal and i wouldn’t worry about it
