Protein for losing fat

Hi All, I have read that the more protein you eat the easier fat loss is. How much should I be eating a day if I weight between 265-270. I have read it should be a gram per bodyweight but I’m not sure I could eat that much protein every day.

Per pound of lean bodyweight… I’d err on the side of caution and get at least 225 grams or so

Should I lower the carbs or just take them out for a while?

What are you eating now? Give us an overview.

You don’t need a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight if you’re carrying a lot of extra fat. One strategy is to estimate what your ideal weight would be (being realistic) and eat that many grams daily. It’ll get you in the ballpark at least.

I am eating eggs, chicken, trout in a can. I eat a lot of junk too, so I am working on that. I just need to increase the eggs and stuff.

Just fix this, like now.

Counterargument: if you dont think you can eat 270g protein daily - it sounds like you wont be very hungry if you do this.

I guess I was thinking about what to eat daily to get that much protein. I see where some people eat 1-2 pounds of ground beef a day with other foods.

That works.

Meat and eggs are wonderful sources of protein, although the latter are a little costly these days with the bird flu. Other good sources include Greek yogurt and cottage cheese. And, of course, protein supplements, like Metabolic Drive.
