Protein Bars During a Cut?

The best protein bar is the chocolate chunk Metabolic Drive bar from Biotest. The protein is the best, its fairly low in calories compared to supermarket protein bars, and at $1.42 a piece (12 per box) its hard to find a better price for what you are getting. Thats my 2 cents.

I eat 2 bars per day as snacks. Its much more convenient to throw in a bag and take to work. I am cutting, successfully at the moment.

I buy the ‘pure protien’ bars at my supermarket (also available at gnc)

honestly; it tastes/looks/smells the SAME as the Biotest bars.

and for about 1.25ea (180cal/20g protien/ minimal fat and carbs) its very nice and convienient then buying and waiting for them to be shipped. they also have a 39g protien (larger) bar.

Have you ever bothered to read the ingredients on those? I don’t have a wrapper in front of me at the moment, but I’m pretty sure they contain a lot of crap.

Find out what works for you. Log your diet and training; measure and log your progress. Try a diet with bars, then replace the bars with equal calories of food. See which works better.

For me, food undeniably works better. My fat loss is not that good when I eat protein bars. Period.
