Promoters Kill Me- Anabolic Pump

yeah… the capsules are yellow. even though you’d think there would be 90 caps in the bottle there are actually more… i got around 100.

My caps are red. And I got about 100 aswell. Which math tells me 3 a day, gives you about a months worth.

Here is a link (hope it works) to a thread from a natural bb org’s website that involves discussion about Anabolic Pump, some of which is devoted to the difference between the yellow and red caps.

fitnessandphysique.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=15602

I purchased two bottles and received them this afternoon…opened one and they were the yellow ones.

I’ll begin using it Monday and post my feedback.

can you just copy and paste the text/thread… that site apparently wants you to sign up and log in…

AP day 3… nothing much yet but it is obviously way too early… AP does seem to make me kind of hungry if i don’t eat enough carbs but this observation is by no means conclusive… looking forward to today’s workout.

I have a question…I understand you take three a day 15 min before carb meals, etc. What is the ‘least’ calories one should take while on AP? Im currently cutting and around 12-13% body fat…I would however be interested to try this and eat at maintanance or a little above if it really does what it says. So, what would be the least recommended caloric intake to consume if you using this product.

Also, on non workout days, 1 pill before breakfast lunch and dinner…but on workout days, is it one before breakfast, one before post carb meal (that you usually have 60-90 min after lifting) and then one before dinner? (Assuming I workout after lunch)…thanks.

Somehow, the link wouldn’t work. Could you explain the difference between the red and yellow capsules shortly to me please?

The Red ones have 750mg vs 500mg (Yellow) of the active ingredient. The Red ones also have Cissus extract (I think).

Again, please copy/past info on yellow/red.

I really hope I didn’t get the pussy version or something weaker.

Minimum calories: I’d say whatever you don’t pass out on.

The yellow caps are the older 500mg version and the red caps have 700 or 750 mg of the active ingredients.

It shouldn’t make too much of a difference. I think the supplement works though. I’m getting nice, long-lasting pumps and my muscles look and feel fuller all the time. Also, if you don’t eat your carb meal once the 15 minutes has passed, you’ll feel light-headed and kind of sick. You definitely need at least 30 grams of carbs, 15 minutes after swallowing a pill.

Edit: I use the 500mg, yellow caps. Strong stuff.

Weren’t the yellow ones the beta version that people tested out?

Uh…I got the ridiculous pump going in the gym this evening. I took my Anabolic Pump at breakfast, then pre-workout, and post workout.

hey dhuge, can you tell me what your pre and post workout meals are like?

check out their website… usplabsdirect.com and read the promotion article on AP… i think they are describing the new stuff (red). I think all they did was add “symmetry” (their fancy name for cissus extract). I am under the impression that that is where the 250mg’s come from. I dont think they actually gave you more phellodendron extract or lagerostraemia extract(however it is spelled).

this really is an interesting supplement…

ill keep you guys posted.

Usually i’ll get a little pumped after a protein/carb meal, but it’s really unbelievable how full your muscles feel after a meal with this stuff. I’ve only used the yellow 500mg version so I can’t wait to see what happens with the red cap version.

Ok the pumps are getting a little insane. BUT, and there’s always a but, the fat gain is starting to become noticeable. Probably because of the massive amounts of carbs I’ve been consuming. So I’m going to tone it down a bit, get back to a comfortable bodyfat, and play it by ear from there.

Sorry for the bad link everyone. The link was for the forum section of a natural bb org. that I competed in a couple times last year.

One of the posters in the thread (and a regular poster on site) is a rep for usplabs. The red vs. yellow pill thing caused quite a stir on that board…so much so that the rep offered to exchange any bottles of the yellow pills for a bottle of the red ones.

Someone here posted that the red ones contain a bit more of the active ingredient, which to my knowledge is correct. The red ones also contain cissus…which I could care less about since I also purchased a couple bottles of their super cissus rx…dealing with some elbow issues.

The rep maintains that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the yellow pills…they’re not bad or ineffective…just an earlier version which rendered very good results in the studies.

Check this out…A guy named Doug Miller who is a top IFPA Pro was part of the test group for the early version (prior to production) called Anabolic Gold. It was a yellow powder. He posted vids of himself on that board rolling “parachutes”…he’d spoon some of the powder into little squares of toilet paper, twist them up, snip off the ends and pop them back.

I just completed my first week on AP…not much to report. I’m consuming between 55-70 grams of carbs with each of the three meals. I will say that I feel lean and tight at a bodyweight that I typically don’t. Perhaps it’s placebo effect…we’ll see. Definitely giving it ample time though.

I heard pretty much the same thing that you did. I guess my real question here is, are people using this product for the “feel”, that it gives them, or are people getting results in the gym as well? Im always looking to get stronger, but I just dont see that with this product.

7 days on AP 3 yellow caps/day.

Also creatine (but who isn’t… this shit is a vitamin as far as I am concerned).

Muscles seem fuller and harder.
About 1 or 2 pounds heavier.
Pumps slowly getting better (upright rows were money for the shoulder pump in the last workout though).

No real change to diet but eat massive amounts of whole wheat pasta (200g) after taking one of these babies.

No fat gain… maybe even a bit leaner.

So far, inconclusive, but very promising.

If you are on the fence, I would say buy a bottle of this stuff and test it out for yourself.

Which I have done…

What I would like to know is what interaction neg/pos with Biotest products such as HOT-ROX or Alpha Male. We know that we shouldn’t combine HOT-ROX with Alpha Male…but what about a product like the AP?

Brassballs and goforth are promoters of this product.

Remember, when something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Don’t believe the hype or the testimonials of two posters who have probably been paid or is responsible to get all over bodybuilding blogs and promote this “too good to be true” product.

Who doesn’t wanna get stronger?

No supplement will make you stronger.

Of course that is a conditional statement. Central Nervous System strength can’t be bottled and soled on the internet. But aids are availible, such as Spike, Power Drive, caffine products, ect.

Then there’s cross-sectional strength of an individual muscle, which again cannot be enhanced by a simple drug. AP could potentially help out with this. Supposedly it forces anything and everything you eat into your muscles, which can aid in muscle recovery, which can lead to better gains, which can lead to stronger scross sectional strength.

I think it helps. Then again so does protein powder, so does Spike, so does fish oil, and so does oat meal(keeps me sane while dieting).

Perception is reality.

Day 9…

I am really beginning to realize that I can’t take an AP cap and not eat.

You would think it wouldn’t be that big of a deal but damn… every time I down a yellow cap my stomach ROARS in 20-30 mins sans food.

This is getting kind of ridiculous.

Anyone else experiencing this??? Or am I just weird???
