Professor_Hulk's TRT log

OK so I apologize for flaking out above. A lot has happened in a week and a half and I want to share it, in case it helps someone else.

The reason I was inclined to stop this log is the protocol the doctor gave me over the phone sounded more like a cycle than TRT. I was shocked by the amounts and thought it would be more appropriate to move over to the Pharma forum. BUT…I did exactly what the doc said, for 10 days, and I’m done and going back to TRT doses. And there’s a chance that some other poor fella on TRT might fall in the same hole I just fell in, and have to climb out, and might learn from my experience. So, here’s what happened and what I’m doing next.

The doctor sent me three vials each of Test Cyp 200mg/mL and 100mg/mL NPP and a dozen Anastrozole tabs. He Told me to take .5Test, .5NPP, and .25 Anastrozole EOD. I did the math and was super pumped. Holy crap, that’s like 525mg of anabolics a week! I’m going to be jacked!!!

Hours after the first injection, I started getting headaches and blurred vision. I thought, meh, just stick it out. Be tough. Day 2, the headaches got worse and joint pain showed up. Day 3, still headaches and joint pain. This was also my first training day on this protocol. I felt like garbage and failed 2-3 reps short on my upper body lifts and ditched my lower body lift after 1 rep. I normally RDL 350 for 10, but this day, my lower back rounded on rep 1 and I got stuck halfway up and ditched the set. This REALLY pissed me off, as it’s my favorite exercise. Day 4-9 more of the same. Headache all day and night, joint pain worse by the day.

Today’s day 10. My waist is a full 1.5 inches bigger than it was 10 days ago. It’s 34.5” now, and it hasn’t been over 33” in years. I have had headaches every single day, and my joints are all killing me. My face is fat and bloated. My wife wants to know if I’m OK. I tell her I’m not sure. My heart rate is normally 50bpm, and it is 82bpm and I can feel every single beat as I lay here in bed typing this. I have blurred vision. I am squinting at the screen right now, struggling to see what I’m typing. Say what you will about me guys…I’m done with this “protocol”. No way in HELL I can “stay the coarse” for 8 weeks and “let my body adjust.”

It’s been 48 hrs since my last T and NPP shot and I’m not taking either any time soon. I’m going to stir up some drama here, but I honestly think 90% of the above is due to ultra-high E2. Yup! I said it! So I’m about to pop a full 1mg of Anastrozole right now and do nothing else the rest of the evening.

Stay tuned…will report back soon.

Fatigue, blurred vision, joint pain, no libido, fat gain, headaches, osteoporosis, they are known symptoms when you inhibit aromatase. Just saying.
Good luck whit your endeavors

Just an FYI,

When I changed my protocol, including dropping anastrozole, I didn’t feel great at times up until about the 8th week.

I’ve heard it can take 12 weeks or longer for some people.

@Professor_Hulk,

How much Anastrozole are/were you taking?

So, even if the problem is E2, this woulf be a foolish over reaction to the problem that could trigger bigger problems for you. I understand being all in, but this is stupid. 1/4 mg would be more appropriate. It sounds more like an allergic reaction than an E2 problem, what is the oil used in the two steroids? Are you maybe allergic to it? You also might have a problem with NPP specifically, which is not uncommon.

Thank you for the reply. I have had a really hard time distinguishing between low symptoms and high symptoms. Many say they are not E2 symptoms at all and that E2 control is a fruitless effort. Im beginning to think they’re right. Whatever I do next will definitely not involve the use of an AI.

I agree that the 1mg Anastrozole was as a foolish overreaction. As You know, I’ve not been very smart about TRT up to this point. My tendency toward a lack of patience and knee jerk reactions have made this journey a rough one, no doubt. So thanks for speaking truth.

I considered the allergy to the oil, also. The vials on both the Test and NPP say sesame is the oil. I thought I might be allergic to it, until I found an old vial I had sitting around that was also sesame base.

I do think my horrible reaction has been to the NPP. As you’ve seen in my log, I’ve had my share of negative sides, but never felt worse, so quickly, since the day I took that first pin of NPP. I might as well have injected motor oil.

Whatever I do from here will not involve NPP at all.

As prescribed, I was taking .5mg Anastrozole EOD, at the same time as my 100mg Test & 50 mg NPP.

This works out to 525mg/wk anabolics, so I didn’t think the 1.75 mg Anastrozole a week was to outlandish, relative to the AAS being pumped in.

I CERTAINLY didn’t expect to blow up like a balloon, retain all kinds of water, get red face and cankles taking that much AI.

I didn’t want to com off as too harsh, just concerned over whaere you were at and wanted you to take a breath befire you did something else you might regret.

I am feeling a good bit better today. Bloating and redness have gone down considerably. Rapid heart rate, head pressure, and joint pain are also improving.

I am very, very irritable and angry. Leads me to believe that, as @hardartery said, I overreacted and took too much and tanked me E2.

I’ll just take a few days off everything and contemplate my next move.

Will keep you all posted…

1 1/2 to 2 mg of anastrozole per week?
:scream:

You’re lucky if you don’t have osteoporosis!

Common arimidex side effects

You need to stop the ai.

Agreed on the AI. Not taking the NPP again any time soon, either. I feel like complete crap from head to toe. Taking a few days off everything to contemplate what my next move is. I’m leaning towards something involving a low dose of Test Cyp only, while I cut some of the 15 pounds of water and fat I’ve piled on during this roller coaster. I look like melted ice cream right now and feel like I have cheese whiz for blood.

I really like @dbossa suggestion to start in the “in the middle of the road” with both dose and frequency, give it 6 weeks, and then reassess. I may give that a try.

The majority of guys on TRT seem to be on 100-200 a week. So, middle-of-the-road would be 150. The majority of guys on TRT also inject between 1xweek-7xweek. So the middle of-the-road would be 3.5xweek(EOD).

It seems, to me, like a solid middle-of-the-road STARTING POINT is to try is 43mg Test EOD, and NOTHING else. Right now, I’m leaning toward giving that an honest run.

I REALLY need something that I will not second guess/obsess about, will have faith in, and will give an honest run for the next 6+weeks.

My BIGGEST problem on TRT has been the mental aspect, as @dextermorgan has pointed out as a problem for a lot of guys.

Yes. As soon as I read your last big post I was thinking that AI is probably the issue.

I’d try this or even a little higher for 6-8 weeks and see what happens. You do have to leave things alone long enough for it to work though.

I think that’s a good plan. I may not be perfect for you, but it will probably be close enough to at least make you feel decent.

I’ve also been to the NPP movie and agree with you. Just a suggestion, have you considered twice weekly dosing? I’ve tried once weekly and EOD. I prefer twice weekly Monday Friday. Just a thought, EOD and daily doesn’t suit everybody. I agree with all your other ideas and dosage for what it’s worth. Good luck.

Thanks for your input mfezdro. I did try twice a week a couple different times and, as you can see in my log, never felt well. I’d def lean toward less pinning in the future, after I give this middle-of-the-road an honest run for a while.

Ah ok, missed that. Good luck, hope it works.

Wow man! This is some reckless shit. There are good days and bad days. I really hope you straighten out. So many changes… you will never find the right protocol this way. You want instant results and thats not how this works. Side effects can be instantaneous, but you have gone off course. You are lost at sea. You def need to set your course and stick with it.
