Heres one for the books guys. Ok, So I have been lifting for 2 years, I wouldn’t consider myself a beginner and I have learned aot through trial and error and at T-Nation. I have made great gains but hit a platue about 3 months ago.
I am 18 and am sure you guys think its bullshit to buy or think about pro-test supplements at this age, but any way I went to the vitamin shop and talked to the manager who reccomended methyl 1-d “no side effects he said, none at all”.
The reccomended dosage is 6 pills a day, since I was nervous that this was a pro-hormone, I took 1 pill the first day. 6 hours later My balls hurt and I felt really hot and feverish. I weigh 206lb, 6 feet tall, bodyfat 8% so 1 pill should have not done much.
Next day I take 2, still way under the reccomend dosage. My balls really hurt now and Im horny as hell, I go to my girlfriends, (keep reading, heres the killer part) I do my buisness and both her and me relise that my man milk was way different, it hurt to orgasm, burned.
After that I through that fuckin shit away, and my right testicle shrunk it size a little bit for the following 5 days, now its normal (girl friend and me are a lot happier) My point to this long winded speech is that the fucking manager lied, and most importantly that this shit is not safe, at least for people under 25.
is Alpha Male the same deal or is it safe to take, will it fuck me up ? thanks for the support.
For starters, methyl 1-d is a prohormone. Would you have not bought it had you known?
After taking a pill and having adverse effects, you went ahead and took them again? How dumb are you?
So you’ve figured out that you shouldn’t take certain supps because of your age. Test boosters are the same for someone your age. You stated this in your second paragraph. Yet you STILL ask whether you should take Alpha Male or not?
You are a prime example why supplements become regulated. You’re stupid and dangerous. You don’t listen to recommendations, age restrictions and continue consumption after feeling really bad side effects.
Don’t take any test boosters. Don’t even take stimulants or thermogenics. Learn to read directions and follow them.
whoa, aright agreed man, but chill out! Look methyl 1-d is a pro-hormone, but Alpha Male is not -right. A few guys on T-Nation said its ok to take at my age, but I dont think all mess around with it. I took the methly 1-d for a total of 2 days, when I realized that this junk was only gonna casue problems for me i stopped. Its not worth the risk.
I was just wondering about Alpha Male because the authors on T-Nation prescibe it in their programs. Being that is supposedly raises the test naturally by increacing the lutinizing hromone, which increaces the test only to what can natually be achieved, many think it is a safe alternative. However, Im gonna steer clear of it.
It’s my understanding that Alpha Male would give the best results to men above 26 years old. Your body is making enough test.
It’s like this: you have an olympic swimming pool. Great. But you decide to buy a swimming pool twice as large, and you’re the only one using it. What the hell for? Can you use any more of the pool than before? No.
Learn to eat big. That way, you’ll maximize your natural test production.

Good luck.[/quote]
Nice analogy, but it doesn’t hold true in this case. If it did people wouldn’t see a benefit from exogenous androgen (anabolic steroid) use.
Dude, stop this nonsense. There’s no reason whatsoever to take T boosters at the age of 18. You should probably wait 18 more years before even considering such a step, and even then for many people it’s overkill.
Eat clean, train hard, yadda, yadda. You’re a big kid, you know the drill already.

I’m not sure where this theory originated, but it’s not the case from what I’ve seen. There was even a research study by Joey Antonio (I believe) that showed the benefit of Tribex on college-aged males.
Granted, many guys this age would be better served by improving their diets, training, and recovery habits, but there’s no reason that can’t work on these things at the same time as using something like Tribex or Alpha Male.

Not everyone is blessed with high T, it varies from person to person. I see no problem in proper usage in those 18 and over.
Sure, eating and training right are the most important, but if someone feels like they could use a boost, then that’s their choice. If it works, then great and if not, then they probably had good T levels to start.
thanks guys, really appreciate the advice. Im not gonna touch t boosters till um older, unless new research comes out about them, (not sponsored by the supplement company)
What you did wasn’t the worst thing in the world. However your mom or dad catching wind of something like this and making a mountain out of a mole-hill is what makes situations like this dangerous for the supplement industry. But I don’t want to go into that.
The swimming pool analogy was a nice one, and while I’m sure if we all thought about it we could come up with a hundred more just as good. I think you got the point. IMO the only good use for supplements or non-otc products that have “natural testosterone” boosting effects comes during pct or in a simlar enviroment ie. when one goes into manopuause and needs HRT.
Stick to shit like leucine, beta-alanine, creatine, waxy maize corn starch, bcaa’s, nitric oxide products and things of that nature for the time being if you really want to use something. Also I might consider fenugreek. It has some use for increasing the amount of insulin available for your body to use if you take it before your postworkout shake PLUS alot of guys have used it to successfully resotre the size of their boys an to increase seminal volume (or at least that’s what some people say).
BTW that is ON TOP of you ABSOLUTELY KNOWING that you are eating the adequate number of calories a day, keeping a training journal, and doing all the shit Mick28 said.
Hey Micky? I’m not sure your definition of morning sunshine is the as mine. Just in case if it’s not I’d like to add throwing the backyard beating’s to a young philly’s fanny once a day ALSO HELPS INCREASE NATURAL T PRODUCTION. It’s fun to.
BTW, Philly would be someone from Philadelphia. While the term philly would mean a derogatory slang one would use for a fine piece of ass…oh wait never mind you got it;-)

How about checking out the threads dedicated to Alpha Male? People are seeing great results from this product. That’s not biased research – that’s simply a good performance enhancement drug doing it’s prescribed job.
This product is very different from steroids, or pro-hormones (which are steroids.) As long as you are covering your nutritional bases, this product has potential. For God’s sake, though, first do the research, then take the damn thing.
