Doesnt look too shabby.

Not liking Jake Gyllenhall as the Prince.

Not liking his face.

hahahaha oh great “Butt Pirates of the Persian Gulf”
But serously what’s with all the caucasians in a movie that is supposed to take place in ancient Iran?

my wife and I strolled past the poster for this in the movie theater, and we both busted out laughing at it.

Actually I think people of middle eastern descent are considered part of the caucasian race as well. But I agree, it would be better if they had actual PERSIANS in Prince of Persia. You wouldn’t cast Tom Cruise as a samurai would you? Oh wait…

The trailer looks good, I just hope they do not make too comedic. I love the attitude on the second prince of persia: warrior within.

Yes sir, affirmative action was not my friend… Government classifies me(all middle eastern people) as Caucasian

Man like a young Antonio Banderas would have been perfect. or the younger Johnny Depp from Don Juan DeMarco !

Why would a white American be hired to play a Persian and use a fake British accent? Think I’m gonna pass. The chick is pretty sexy though.

LOLZ

I’ll cosign that. How about picking someone PERSIAN? Oh hell no, this is Hollywood, damn it.

I still think “meh”.

I won’t bother, personally.

Never been to the middle east have you? They are not all dark skinned Bedouins that you see on the news or in the movies.

Beat me to it.

I can’t wait to see all of the ASIANS in Avatar: the Last Airbender.

Haha. I have nothing against Gylenhall [sp?] and have liked most of the movies I’ve seen him in, I just really don’t understand some of Hollywoods casting choices. Reminds of that Paul Mooney skit on the Chappelle show where he’s riffing on Tome Cruise being “The last samurai”.

Maybe they couldn’t find any Persians cause King Leonidas kept killing them off?

Teehee.

Or they are too busy screaming “Death to the USA” to star in a US film :stuck_out_tongue:

Nope. I never travel in the third world, and I never will.

However I used to date a young lady from Iran. She had dark skin and thick black course hair. She was a knock out, and according to her the superficial racial traits she had were typical of people from the region

Same boat. I dated a Jordanian girl for awhile who looked like Princess Jasmine with fakies, only her boobs weren’t fake. She said most of the woman in her country resembled her in complexion and features. I actually posted her picture on this site a couple of times.

I bet they just couldn’t find any good Persian actors to fit what they were looking for IMO.
