Gerard Butler would totally beat Jake Gyllenhaal in a fight.

But serously what’s with all the caucasians in a movie that is supposed to take place in ancient Iran?
my wife and I strolled past the poster for this in the movie theater, and we both busted out laughing at it.
Never been to the middle east have you? They are not all dark skinned Bedouins that you see on the news or in the movies.
Nope. I never travel in the third world, and I never will.
However I used to date a young lady from Iran. She had dark skin and thick black course hair. She was a knock out, and according to her the superficial racial traits she had were typical of people from the region

Iran isn’t a third world country, not that I recommend going there in the middle of its current mess.
mmllcc is correct, not all Iranians look that way. I myself have green eyes and have lighter skin compared to most Iranians, and there are many like me, it isn’t that uncommon.
Paul Mooney
“The Last Samuri with Tom Cruise?..Come on, Tom Cruise is the Last Samuri? Whats next? The Last Nigga on Earth featuring Tom Hanks…”
Who the hell cares who plays the Prince? He looks damn close to the character in the game. They have to find actors who can act. Who would you rather see as the Prince?
Glynehaal (fuck sp?) could actually pass as Iranian. I mean I have a cousin (Iranian) who’s a splitting image of Jerry Seinfeld.
This film looks real pretty, but I get the feeling from the trailer that its going to be a disappointment to fans of the game. Somehow it looks like standard Hollywood action fare, lot’s of effects, lot’s of eye candy, not a lot of substance. But hey, it could kick ass who knows?
Do you really wanna watch 2 hours of someone running on walls and doing puzzles? As long as they keep some of the in game elements I’ll be happy.

Seriously, get your facts straight Tehran is like New York city… It is far from third world. And agreed, on any given day no one should hesitate to visit… but in its current situation you may want to wait a year.
The majority of Persians are “light skinned” It isn’t India… A white actor isn’t completely out of place, you’re not going to find many Iranians in Hollywood
edit: And to rage, 300 isn’t historically accurate -.- /rage

Yes, I would, if it’s done well and isn’t blatant wire-hanging bullshit like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
And as far as the in-game elements go, it appears to have crossovers from all 4 prince of persia games(the next gen ones anyway). There’s the dagger of time, it looks as though there’s a Dark prince, but it looks like he’s a whole different character as compared to in the game where they were the same person. Then there’s the female accomplice like in the latest PoP. The only thing it doesn’t have(or has shown) really is the Dahaka.
I’ll pay to see it. It’ll be a fun summer movie, not expecting much other than some cool special effects, a hot babe, and some fighting/platforming. Don’t see why people would be so negative about it, go watch The Notebook or something you pansies.

No Iranians in Hollywood? Have you been to LA?? I guess from my perspective there are a ton of Iranians there. I doubt any Iranian actors there are Hollywood caliber though.
300 made all my uncles and my parents friends so angry… really doesn’t make the Persian’s look like pleasant people.
Im excited for the movie, I don’t care how terrible it is. I still play the original 2D prince of Persia from time to time, that game is full of win.

I meant Hollywood caliber actors, my sister goes to UCLA and when I visited it blew my mind… what is it like a 900k population. It was an interesting experience… no offense to you(just in case)… but a lot of inTEResTing Persians at that

haha no, I’ve visited family in LA once. I’ve lived in Toronto/Southern Ontario most of my life. I couldn’t live in LA (no offense to people from LA). Persians there are definitely “interesting” people.

Have you seen some Persians. Colored hair, colored eyes. Many of them are supposedly descended
from ancient Aryans.

As opposed to colorless hair and eyes?
