Atheists, Jews, Blacks, Whites, Gays, Protestants, Muslims… wait. Everyone. Fuck.

Have no clue, but I do know that in day to day events, being prejudice and hating Catholics is perfectly politically correct and acceptable.
Again, no dog in this fight at all, but I spent the first 35 years of my life in the US, and still visit at least annually, and this is NEWS to me.
I think you’re confusing deserved criticism for “prejudice.”
Ever been kicked out of someone’s house because you were Catholic? Ever had someone yell at you at the top of their lungs, and be called the Satan’s spawn or be called the child of the Whore of Babylon? Ever had jewelry ripped off your neck and had someone spit in your face? Ever lose friends once they find out your Catholic?
I admit that I’m dealing with radical people here, but still who else gets this treatment this day an age? I feel like I was a Sunni Muslim and I just turned Shiite in my old house hold.
I deal with criticism just fine, but people treating me like dirt is what I call prejudice.
2 things:
I get treated pretty fairly in Arizona and Kansas because Arizona has a bunch of Catholics and a bunch of Mormons, and well they are Mormons.
On college campuses and in certain parts of the South I have dealt with it.

Prejudice is never acceptable, and I’m not saying that. What I am saying however, is that you are not special or some kind of unique snowflake. Almost everyone on this board is going to experience poor treatment at some point or another. I recommend you drink a cup of concrete and harden the fuck up sunshine.

Lol @ being special. I haven’t been special since the first grade.
Just pointing out people’s ill behavior. I have no problem calling for the execution of Catholic Priests, I have no problem pointing out people’s prejudice.
I don’t know if you missed the part where I said I laughed at most of the prejudice (the only time I didn’t laugh was when I lost a friend, but being 280 not much is scary to me). I’m thick skinned, but I can still see prejudice when I see it. And, even though private incidents with people don’t bug me, I do have empathy for those that deal with prejudice on the whole.
I don’t accept prejudice either, even if it doesn’t hurt my feelings, I have no problem checking someone’s behavior with physical reprimand.
Had a priest tell me that my son would burn in Hell for going into the Naval Academy at Annapolis. Another devout Catholic I know said something similar, that all non-Catholics would burn in Hell.
I no longer go to Catholic church. Fuck people like that and with a red hot poker.

I don’t believe you. As any “devout” Catholic knows that it is an ex-communicable offense to say someone is going to Hell. And, since you are not a devout Catholic, I am guessing you are making this up.

Chris. I have been told by many of my Catholic friends that I am going to hell since I do not do all of the other “necessities” for salvation.
Also, the way you worded that would imply that if this poster were a devout Catholic then he would not make things up. That’s a pretty serious statement.

LOL! How do you know I’m not Catholic? Do I need to be, to not make stuff up? Uh…ok…
As an aside, my son converted to Catholicism there last year. 60% of the Academy is Catholic, from what I’ve read. I could be wrong though.
Why anyone would believe in hell in the first place is beyond me.
Either Christ was victorious for us or He wasn’t.
If you side with Victory, where is hell?
Anyway, a priest once told my friends mother that her son was sick in the hospital as punishment because she got a divorce from her drunken abusing husband. nice.

A lot of these guys think they can say anything or do anything because the church will protect them. Now most priests are probably fine but like teaching, give 'em tenure and the scum rises to become most visible.

No, I’m saying if he was a devout Catholic he’d know that what those people said weren’t true and correct them. Nothing to do with making things up. But, HH has been known to make things up. So, it should have said. “And, because you are not a devout Catholic (from the obvious mistake in assuming those people were devout Catholics and being so incorrect in theology), I am guessing you are making things up.”

I worded it wrong, but no I wasn’t saying that only non-devout Catholics make things up. I’m saying if you were a devout Catholic, you’d know that they were wrong in what the said. And, wouldn’t be saying they were devout.

Why believe in Hell? Because it is biblical.
That is retarded, it might be true, but a priest shouldn’t be going around saying stupid shit like that, what are we televangelist now?

And how does THAT fit with your Christian identity?
Catholic Church doesn’t shy away from corporal punishment or self defense.

1st grade, I just thought I was the king of the world.
How does it sound? And, explain this this non reprisal (I’ll look up the word).
No Brother Chris, I thank you for your posts.
I am glad, a fellow Catholic who could answer attacks.
I could not do it as good as you ![]()
