hey, lately I’ve been concerned about my diet in regards to eating meat. I think I’m getting allergic to tuna because everytime I eat a can, afew hours later I start getting hives. I’ve never been allergic to tuna before, so how can this be happening now?? does anyone have a clue? even though I try to get my protein from different sources, I do eat salmon and tuna everyday.
How can I prevent my body from becoming allergic to meat?? I’m worried I might get allergic to chicken next, since I eat alot of that. Also does anyone know if this is temporary, or does it go away after awhile?

Try eating some fresh tuna and see if you get the same reaction. You might be allergic to some material in the can or some ingredient that the tuna is packed in.
That just seems more likely to me than a meat allergy.
Also, try not to eat tuna everyday - if you vary you protein intake from different sources theres no reason you should be eating tuna more than twice a week (unless, ofcourse, your budget limits you).
I used to eat canned tuna every day, but then I switched to atlantic mackerel.
The advice rsg gave you is good. You can try with fresh tuna. But if you are allergic to tuna meat, than I am afraid it will be for whole your future life. I think that allergies to chicken meat are extremly rare, so I guess you don’t have to be afraid.
