President Obama

That is because you are in your mid 20’s…

If the press would do their job with half an ounce of integrity (yes including Fox), Mitt would be up 10+ points in most states, outside of Mass & Cali. The Libya situation alone would lose the whitehouse for any other incumbent in history, but the average voter doesn’t know this administration left a man to die, unprotected, and then lied to the people in front of their caskets.

But the other side of the coin is what you are talking about with the .gif you posted. People vote for the dumbest reasons. They vote on “likeability” and whther the person would be fun to hang out with. Or my favorite “if they could connect with me”. Give me a fucking break. POTUS isn’t a job for regular folk, it isn’t a job for the type of people that I’m friends with, and I want someone running the country more concerned with bigger issues than “connecting” with me.

fuck 50% of the electorate in this country are dumb as shit.

You are starting to sound like Zeb , if some one has a different point of view from you than they lacking the vast irrefutable insight that you have. Either some one is not old enough to grasp it. Or they are liberal which means they do not like what Republicans stand for.

It has nothing to do with right v left.

Please defend this current administration’s handling of Libya, and then point out where the murder of American citizens is getting proper play in the press compared to an illegal taping of a private fund raiser.

People who vote blindly for republicans are idiots too. You assume I’m only talking about one group of voters in the second paragraph. Trust me, the 50% is too low and is bipartisan.

It has nothing to do with my age, mostly about what you wrote below that comment.

Mitt has a highly unlikeable personality (at least as it’s presented in the media) while Obama is the opposite.

A lot of people vote on what they perceive as a man’s “character.”

I will not defend Obama from anything , I personally think he is less a Douche than Romney and by a long shot. I think Romney not only has the same issues Obama has but he is also a fucking liar and will say anything to get elected. I know Obama has lied as well but Obama is a better liar because he at least sticks to one lie he doesn’t change his lies to suit the occasion

Dude, Obama is a rockstar. Of course age plays into it. Young people don’t look at silly things like governance records, they look at a dude playing basketball and drinking beers and fall in love. Look at the .gif you posted coupled with your comment. You are making my point for me. Your post, coupled with the .gif is the perfect example of the “young obama drone”.

It is fucking retarded to be honest. Look at Pitt’s post. No one ounce of substance. Because “my guys lies are better than your guy’s lies” is the worst. It could literally be the dumbest fucking reason I’ve ever heard of for voting for someone. No one is saying they aren’t both liars, but to say one lie is less of an affront to your beliefs than another is plain ridiculous.

So you know what you do? You forget about campaign bullshit, and look at governance records. romeny supporters go: “okay, not too bad, and at least ryan has a plan.” Obama supports go “it was all the republican’s fault.”

See the difference?

Look you are a bright person. Don’t waste your time thinking your age doesn’t play into your thought process. it does, and in a decade, you’ll know what I mean. Couple of kids and a couple of years working 2,400 hours a year will teach you some things. If you’re still voting for Obama then, well that means you didn’t pay attention in history class.

I will say the most common thread I see among Obama supporters that are actually informed (use that term loosely based on the following) is a lack of knowledge of history. This election will be seen as a defining moment in American history one way or another.

I’ll be honest, had you asked me 2 years ago if I thought so many people would eat up this, this, Cloward-Piven like they have, I would have told you hell no. Well, color me surprised.

I seriously do see him “not winning”, raj.

While there are posters on this site whose opinions I highly respect; in this case…I
don’t agree with them as to the power of the incumbency and “it’s not Romney’s to lose”.

Conservatives have shown over and over that Romney is far from their first choice to face the President, even being rather lukewarm about him at the Convention. But their hate and dislike of the President runs much deeper. So deep, that I predict record numbers that vote and push Romney over the top.

The only thing that could possibly alter the above scenario is that the Presidential election is not a popular vote, but one based on the Electoral College. Those numbers have to “add up” to win…and in that case the President has a chance…but it is a tricky thing to try to predict the direction of the Electoral College.

So…I’ll go on record (again) as saying:

  1. This is an election for Romney, (even with lukewarm “Not Obama” support), to lose.

  2. I think that Romney will win.

Note:

1)Things can really change over the next few weeks.

  1. The Debates can be a “game changer” AND

  2. I predicted McCain/Palin to win…so I’m not so great at these predictions!

I will go on record to say that Obama will win. He has not trailed at any point and there is nothing to suggest that he will all of the sudden sink below Romney.

Also- the debates do not matter. The data on their overall impact suggests that they have almost 0 effect on the outcomes. And before Zeb starts spreading his lies about Reagan coming from behind after the debates with Carter, let me point out that the polling data do not support his fictional account of that election cycle.

Soros? You mean the Jew that helped the Nazi’s and is on record saying he has zero remorse about it? Soros, the billionaire Obama supporter? Soros? The very definition of Wall St fat cat that the left is “out to get” and 90% of Obama supoorters don’t even know the man’s name? Soros? The guy who litterally wrote the book on globalization, but Bain is evil for sending jobs over seas?

Haha, yes very nice indeed. I am sure he was gental as he ripped the fillings from his people’s teeth and gave it to the NAzi’s.

I believe he just shifted his investments to gold. Seems he saw QE3 coming, and also sees the massive selloff of stocks if Obama is re-elected. (This sell off is simiply to capture gains at 15%, because we know the Dems will push to raise that rate, even if by EO.) And then the market, which is driven by panic and emotion more than anything, will flood to gold.

Fair enough, jnd.

More people are seeming to suggest that with this election so close and tight, turnout will be essential to both candidates.

While the Obama supporters (for me) are hard to guage…the “Not Obama” vote is angry, motivated…and ready to vote.

I’ll go WAY out on a limb with this one…the election will not be as close as some predict, in favor of Romney.

We’ll see! (It wouldn’t be the first time I would have to eat crow!)
