Joking aside, I’m gonna see this movie and I’m probably gonna enjoy it, even if I know a few things are gonna piss me off. Man I just used ‘gonna’ a whole lot.

I can’t understand how some of y’all like this movie. The only thing I could see is that it might have been more enjoyable if the theater was packed, but couldn’t have been enough to make too much a difference. Saw it with two other buddies, one thought it was alright and the other said “They probably coulda gone ahead and just not made that”. Pointless flick that was super predictable with terrible, forced action and ridiculous characters. Anyone that likes this movie has terrible taste. TERRIBLE!!!

Ok Janette Goldstein from Aliens also played the step mom in T2. I’m tripping becasue Pvt Vasques was the shit when I was growing up. Hell I looked at her and thought OK I need to be bigger.

I’m a little late here, but why the dislike of Predator 2? I enjoyed it almost as much as the original. Plus, it set up a lot of what the Predator culture would be like over the next decade’s worth of comic book development.
Also, I didn’t get to watch the whole movie (had to leave the theater early), weren’t the new, non-warthog Predators the females?

I loved it. Violence, splosions, survival. All the good stuff. The acting was great, the story was not too bad. It had flaws but it was definitely worth the price.
I don’t really understand why they made that planet seem so much like Earth. There were a lot of plants that were highly recognizable. Ferns and trees that. Maybe they were trying to avoid references to Avatar.
I think that this movie is part the new class of B movie. Hollywood has run out of gas in terms of story telling and feeling the crunch of the economy a bit. The only movies that sell really well right now seem to be movies like this and crap like Twatlight, so what they do is invest money and talent in whatever sells just to keep everything else afloat.
But like a lot of people I really go for action flicks so I can live with that.

During the end credits do we get to watch a Predator rip out Adrian Brody’s spine and skull fuck his dead head before trophyizing ala Predator 1? Because that would definitely make me want to see the film. Really any “Adrian Brody gets mercilessly murdered” scene would encourage me to see this movie.
Laurence Fishburne’s part in the film was about the only thing I had issue with. Predator holds a special place in my heart considering I was highly influenced by it, it was really the first action/horror/sci fi movie I saw. I honestly didn’t really like either AVP, it’s one thing to do in comics and quite another to try on screen. FOX didn’t really take either AVP seriously and that is unfortunate. But Mr. Rodriguez has thankfully taken a little bit more time and got a pretty good cast to finally put a decent follow up in the Predator series. I loved Predator 2 as well and I will admit that just watching Predators hunt on screen again is awesome. Adrien Brody overplays the role a bit, but still he fits in the hero role fine. I personally really liked the sniper chick. Hanzo the yakuza warrior has probably the best scene in the whole movie and it was something that I was waiting for and it reminded me very warmly of Billy’s last stand in the original Predator. Definitely gonna buy when it comes out on blu-ray.

I liked it a lot. It seemed to get back to the original a bit with giving a little more insight in how the predators operate. Guess the new planet thing as opposed to a local jungle is what helped that along.
