Pre I3G Training/Nutrition Review

Morning T-Nation Members,

I am about to order my first three bottles of I3G and prior to doing so I would like some feedback from more experienced members (or those on I3G) on my current training and nutrition.

I am not asking for someone to hold my hand and walk me through this nor am I trying to be lazy and just post something without doing my research but rather a second set of eyes (or many more) to let me know if I am missing something huge. I appreciate everyone’s time

Years Training

Training
-Right now I am using Wendler’s 5/3/1 training system since it has never let me down.
-I am aware that there are specific training regimens put together by CT but since I do not have access I cannot yet implement the material. I have watched the Boot Camp vids and have implemented what I can since I am limited equipment wise.
-Training frequency is really dependent on my grad school studies and work load. But for the most part I am able to make it in 4-5 times a week with no issue.

Nutrition
-Currently my meal frequency is 3 solid meals (B, L, and D) with one or two snacks interspersed somewhere in there (one of them is a pre training meal). Post training meal is usually breakfast (since I generally train at 5AM) or dinner (if I train in the PM).

  • Aiming for 2700-3200 kcal/day, 200-250g protein, 300-350 g carbs, 70-80g fat. Main carb sources are rice (white and brown), potatoes, oats/ whole grain breads, and tons of fruit. I am aware of the fruit issue with I3G and will stagger accordingly.

Almost forgot one more section: What I intend to do once on I3G
-Keep protein where it is
-Bump up cabohydrates mostly from the I3G Peri-workout protocols and the post training meal
-Fats I should keep where they are

Anything else I missed here please let me know and once again I appreciate everyone’s feedback.

If I were a college student, I’d ask myself if I realy thought my diet, training and recovery/sleep (at least 8 hrs a night) are optimum before dropping my money on any supplement.
