What happened with DeepWater?
I got bored. Felt more like cardio
Thatās because you quit on the easiest week, haha.
Ha. You are probably right. Deadlifts were fun doing 10x10 245, but never really felt like lifting. The hardest part was double overhand for the last three sets. Forearms were on fire with that tiny weight!
You had 4 minutes of rest between sets. When you cut it down to 2, it was going to be a vision quest. When you upped it to 80% and got it done in 8 sets, it was going to be life changing.
Training canāt be balls to the wall for 100% of the sessions. If we do that, we donāt grow. This is how periodization works. There are boring phases of training that set us up for great results. Instagram will lead you to believe that all training is just smashing PRs, because thatās what gets posted. What DOESNāT get posted is the unsexy daily grind.
Which, coincidentally, is EXACTLY what I post in my training log. I video the entire session, uncut and unedited, and show all the boring parts of me waiting between sets. And then I upload the video of me deadlifting a car in a competition, which is the outcome of the boring work.
I think i am starting to realize how right you are. Pushing the CNS too much fries you. I am going to get in the 80% range for awhile and see what happens
Press 543 waves..went thumbless on recommendation of members here and i felt way stronger with no wrist pain
Guys, just want to say I am totally digging wave training.
Today i was supposed to start at 220, but didnt feel like starting less than 2 pl8s, so workout was
225x5
230x4
235x3
225x5
235x4
240x3
It was challenging enough to make me happy, but attainable
Squats are hard, fun, and tiring
I am so weak at squat right now, so my waves were tough today
265x5 275x4 285x3
275x5 285x4 295x3
