ZEB,

I like you and think you’ve made many great contributions to threads on this site…

I know we agree on numerous issues and don’t see eye to eye on many others…

no big deal…

but, it is not your decision, steveo’s, terribleivan’s, or anyone’s but Jesus to decide whether or not I am to be saved…

don’t claim otherwise…

HUH?

I never stated that it was my decision who is saved and who is not.

Please don’t confuse this issue anymore than it is.

the issue seems to be (I may be mistaken) that I’m supposedly not a Christian because I fall (very) short of Christian ideals…

you, steveo, terribleivan, et all can claim that I’m a crappy person…hell, I wouldn’t even argue that point…but to claim I’m not a Christian because I fall short of what Christian behavior should be like in your eyes is B.S…

my apologies if I have misinterpreted your statements…
For the record, I have never called you (or anyone else) a bad Christian.

Let’s make sure there are no hard feelings regarding something that never happened.

Okay?

Ivan, the blind man, the issues are not offensive, your attitude is.

Have you ever gotten through an entire post without the use of profanity or attack speech?

No probably not.

As to your challenge, I accept.

Here’s one statement senselessly repeated by you probably 6 or 8 times:

“Admit it Zeb you hate gays.”

Or words to that effect.

There you go oh hateful one.

I am having a difficult problem understanding how so many ‘true’ Christians (not my phrase) are giving such regular patronage to a website that:

a) Routine pictures of lusty women plastered all over the left side of the page - in fact, more than that - an openly professed admiration for the lustiness of attractive women
b) Articles that are often discussing and endorsing a fairly lax view of sex, written by the very proprietors of this site
c) An entire forum dedicated to Sex and the Male Animal
d) Distribution of products that may, as a side effect, boost your sex life

The proprietors of this very site and the professionals associated with it are not following the path of ‘true’ Christians - again, applying a standard not my own - and yet those ‘true’ Christians spend a lot of time on here, both directly and indirectly supporting a wesbite that makes no pretension about following the path of the ‘true’ Christian.

So, if being a ‘true’ Christian means avoiding sinful behavior, why are you all here, giving patronage to the very attitudes you think are wrong?

You should be campaigning to get this site shut down - not enjoying its benefits. Explain this to me.

That thing about the plank…hypocrites, etc…in Matthew 7:5 just won’t sink in with these guys.

Both of the scriptures that you mention speak to FIRST removing that very same sin from YOUR own life, BEFORE you correct a brother Christian.

No one and I mean no one (me included) likes to be corrected about anything. BUT…when I fall (not if) it’s nice to know that there will be a brother Christian there to alert me to this fact which is of great help.

Stop taking scripture out of context.

Thank you.

Read and think about the text found in
Matthew 6: 1-8.

You are getting a lot of attention that I’m sure makes you feel important in your own eyes. At the same time I’d be interested to know if anyone has contacted you about how they might give their hearts to Christ based on your behavior in this forum.

I am familiar with the scripture that you have mentioned and I stand by my previous defintion.

If I have said something that is wrong on this thread please point it out so that I might become aware of it.

Otherwise, your needless attacks are not helping anyone, especially you.

You can copy and paste or type anything from the Bible and I’d find absolutely nothing wrong with it.
As has been addressed over and over and over again…it is not necessarily the message but the messenger in this case.

Often on an internet forum I think words that are not intended to be an attack appear to be.

I’m sure we’re all smiling and having a good time with this as God looks on and knows all intentions.

And Thunderbolt:
Of all the things I’ve been given. And after 21 years of marriage. One of the things I’m most thankful for (as is Mrs. Go-Rilla)is an incredible sex drive. God given and loving it!

Anyone else notice how several guys are using apes for their avatars? I wonder if this is a sign of
de-volution?

I can’t find an avatar of a headhunter chopping off some miscreants head, so guess I’ll have to remain image-less.

BTW: Vroom, you should get an ape avatar too. We can compare it to your previous one of the actual you and see which is better looking.

Damn.

I don’t want to discourage you, as it would be great if you developed a sense of humor or an ability to be sarcastic and witty.

Keep working on it… you can only improve!

If you are looking for Biblical precedent you only need to look at Jesus Christ himself who spent his time with the worst sinners of the day.

(That is not to say that the "worst sinners of the day are on this site. In fact, they are not in my opinion.)

Those who stay protected in their own little Christian world are not doing anything for Christianity.
ZEB wrote:

Well and good, but that is the only reason you come here to T-Nation? To bring the message of Christianity to the unknowing? I don’t believe that for one second. You don’t come here to labor under the mission of Christ exclusively - you enjoy all sorts of benefits this site provides.

So why aren’t you trying to get the site to close down? Why isn’t part of your mission to get people to stop coming to this site, which obviously caters to all sorts of non-‘true’ Christian interests? This site perpetuates all the things you claim are against ‘true’ Christian behavior.

Coming here to this vehicle of sin and vice and enjoying it outside any context of trying to change its nature to a more Christian one, or, at the very least, trying to get people to seek a purer website is, by your own very strict standard, nothing more than hypocrisy.

And as for relying on the inerrancy of Biblical text for every answer, if I did that, I would advocate a return to slavery.

 1. I asked you to point out a tautology. I am assuming you don’t really have a firm grasp of the meaning of the word, because you did not do so.

 2. Please explain how me pointing out your miles and miles of posts about how gays are bad people just by dint of their existence is rooted in clear and obvious hatred. Whether you say differently or not, it’s just clear to everyone that you don’t like homosexuals.

 3. Was the statement, “Admit it, Zeb: you don’t like fags,” a senseless statement repeated, or was it a statement repeated senselessly? Two different meanings.

Perhaps if you read your bible instead of thumping it, you might be able to figure stff out on your own without me having to correct your every witless post.

Oh, wait…I just went an entire post without using “bad” language.

no problem…

So here is the last Atomic Dog article, from the proprietors of this website:

http://www.T-Nation.com/readTopic.do?id=967425

This article includes discussion of sex, evolution, lust, and plastic surgery. I think a swear word may have even been used.

So, ‘true’ Christians - where was the righteous protest of the article? Where was the outspoken condemnation of such blatant sinful indulgences? What about the discussion of sexual evolution, all of which stands in contrast to the inerring belief of the ‘true’ Christian?

Not a peep.

Yet, here, we are entreated to smug complaints that we don’t speak up and condemn sinful behavior, that we tacitly accept ‘atheists’ point of view because of our interpreted silence.

The self-professed ‘true’ Christians here log on to T-Nation surrounded by this stuff daily, and yet none of them chimed in the most recent Atomic Dog to chastise TC for not being a ‘true’ Christian. Nor do they act with the kind of consistency they demand in this thread - but they profess a standard that any ‘true’ Christian must speak out whenever confronted with inquity.

Even our proud ‘true’ Christians don’t live up to the standards they stridently condemn the rest of us for not displaying - and I can’t think of a worse example of Christian behavior.

Hey, now that’s witty. Rattle yours around, I’ll here that dried pea bouncing around in there, and I can have yours!

Actually, my sport is TKD and I love kicking my opponents in the head. Because of my height (6’6")its pretty easy to do. A martial artist who likes to do this is, appropiately enough, called a headhunter.

Isn’t Pookie from the sport of Curling?
