Post Workout Nutrition

Primary Goal: Increase lean mass.

Secondary: Find out if those bottom two abs are still there.

I’ve read many conflicting opinions on post workout nutrition. Some say wait one hour after the work out, some say drink a shake immediately. Some seem to think if you are a bit of a chubber 11-15% BF that you should use a LOW carb mix, others that you should use a sugary carbed up protein, others a standard MRP with middle amounts of carbs and proteins. I have done my best to piece it together on my own but I’m still a bit on the confused side of the tracks.

I fall into the group of 11-15% bf people and I think my goal should be to put on more lean muscle and let the dieting take care of the bf.

To make this more complicated (confusing). I have not done a creatine cycle before so I plan to do one very soon. From all the information I’ve read I should be taking the creatine with an amount of grape juice equal to about 90 carbs IMMEADIATELY after working out. How would this play into the post workout shake timing?

Sorry this post turned out to be a bit longer than it deserved to be. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TAKES TIME TO READ IT!

Did you get the last paper issue of T-mag? I think it was there that Berardi talked about why high carb post workout drinks are fine even if you’re dieting. Made a lot of sense. There are more plusses than minuses for sure. I really have to watch carbs myself, but I cut up fine using Surge before and after training. (The rest of the day, carbs are pretty low though - about 100 per day total - T-Dawg 2.0 style).

one word- SURGE

But what about the timing with a creatine cycle?
