Currently on cream 100mg a day,50mg morning and night applied to scrotum.
I’ve been on topicals for close to a year now seems to be working great as far as how I feel mentally (mostly why I am staying on trt) and seeing a noticeable difference in strength and appearance in body composition. Libido is a bit too high at times, but that I guess isn’t a terrible thing lol.
So with the negatives I’m finding which some or most may or may not be related to the cream, not sure.
crazy fatigued, talked to my provider and he changed the time of application in the afternoon to 3pm. I found it was interfering with my sleep, this has helped me with falling asleep and find I get a more restful sleep however when I wake up I’m still so damn tired all day even after application of cream.
I don’t feel motivated like I once did, I feel like I don’t want to see or talk to anyone just sit and wither away lol. So maybe it’s not helping me as much mentally as I thought or maybe it’s due to how tired I am all the time.
finding it’s extremely difficult to apply my second dose of cream at that time of day as I am at work and it takes like 5+ mins to rub in and dry. It’s also pretty awkward in other aspects at work as well.
I asked my provider if I could use a different base again back to the atrevis base and only do a once a day application for convenience. Sounds like he disagrees and is really pushing for injections.
Do you guys think it would be best to try injections , does it sound like the cream isn’t working for me or possibly other factors? I realize it’s hard to pinpoint but any advice or help would be appreciated.
The blood work was done mid April I believe 12 hours after last application. By the looks of it the blood work seems fine to me.
It would be nice not to have to apply on a daily bases and do injections once or twice a week instead, im just concerned with high h&h as with cream they are on point and dont really want the stress of what if. Also the issue with possibly not feeling good in the ways that i have noticed with cream.
I think ill have to look into other areas, maybe thyroid. Thanks for the help.
I’m certainly no expert on topicals. I never even tried them due to having small kids that climb all over me when I started TRT. Didn’t want to chance topical transference. However I would believe your hormones on injections would be a lot more stable than topicals. This alone may make you feel a little better.
Yeah i was a bit hesitant on the tranferance myself but absolutely had no issues that way.
As far as stable levels go, i understand however what makes me wonder is that our natural production has never been stable anyways and cream in my opinion is the closest thing to natural you can get? However i could be 100% wrong too i duno
A lot of guys like injecting once weekly or twice a week.
Some inject micro amounts everyday or every other day.
I personally like injecting my full dose once weekly of Test Cyp. It’s easy and I feel stable all week long.
I go to a local Endo for TRT and go by their dosing schedule (100mg weekly). I tried once doing 120mg weekly for a while and I felt so exhausted that I just wanted to stay in bed all day, so went back to the 100mg and feel great.
Hey man, what does your H&H (hematocrit/hemoglobin) look like on that dose?
yeah sometimes its better to lower the dose a bit hey. I wonder if thats what my problem is with the cream.
When you felt fetigued did your body feel weak and tired, low motivation etc?
Yeah i agree with a 1- 2 dose per week being way more convenient, i think if he wants me on injections i may ask for a lower dose to start with 80mg a week and titrate up if needed.
When my dose was too high I felt like a truck ran me over and I was seriously dead tired and had zero motivation for anything. I just wanted to nap/sleep all day. It was horrible.
In February and March I donated a pint of blood back to back 8 weeks apart because I noticed that my red blood cells were getting too high in a January 2023 blood test. The blood donations resulted in a low Hematocrit and Hemoglobin result when I got blood tested in April (this was when I was back on 100mg weekly):
Hematocrit was 40.5
Hemoglobin was 11.8 (Low)
Total T: 520 ng/dl (this was trough level).
I will be doing another blood test with more info by the end of this month and going to my Endo again.
Yeah man i somewhat feel the same way, at times i felt like i was being tortured while i was at work cuz i was so tired, exhausted and weak feeling.
See in my opinion i feel like having to donate to lower h&h and rbcs a crazy pain in the ass and an unneeded stress, this is why i dont want to go on injections. My numbers are great with the cream and all in range, i dont even have to stress a bit.
So thanks man I think you just helped me decide on this haha.
