Pork Sausages

How do these sound?

Gourmet Pork Sausages

Per 100g

508/121 Kilojoules/cals
15.1 Protein
5.3 Fat (1.9 sat)

596mg Sodium

Ingredients:

Most sausages I find are either loaded with soy protein or have more fat than protein.

Any reason I shouldn’t be eating these? The sodium?

There not horrid. Id suggest going to a butcher for sausage if you really want it as a large part of your diet it will be pretty much meat and spices not all the rice flour preservative crap.

But from time to time those arent gonna kill ya,

They arent too bad, you could try looking for turkey sausages which taste really good. Or I like to make sausages myself several times a year and just freeze it that way I can just pull it out as I want. There are lots of recipes online for making sauges.

Make your own sausage with a food processor and pork loin or cutlets. You control the fat content. You control the seasoning. Just remember, pork fat rules. It won’t taste as satisfying without at least 15% fat.

How about some local, pastured/friendly organic meats. That’s the bomb.

Otherwise you’re probably chowing down on animals that were fed filth instead of food (non-food fillers, incorrect diets i.e. soy or grains instead of grass, herbivores made omnivores even to the point of cannibalism, roadkill and slaughterhouse wastes, etc.)

Look here for an opportunity to support sane animal husbandry:

But if you can’t find local animal products, this national brand should be widely available:

Health food stores rock.
