How many grand juries did the asshole prosecuter have to call, before he found one that agreed that there was enough evidence to indict Delay? Was it 5 or 6? Wonder why…?
Hold on, are you really suggesting Tom DeLay is innocent?
LMFAO!!!
Of course he is. Didn’t you know? Republican, white, heterosexual, Christian, American-born males are always innocent in HH’s world. Everybody outside of that is automatically guilty.
Tsk, Tsk…looks like some guys don’t know how stuff like this works. See, the prosecuter pulls people in and tries to convince them to indict someone. Usually, after one time, they go with that decision whatever it is. If the prosecuter is a Democrat and has a hard-on for a Republican, he keeps forming grand juries until he finally convinces one to indict the Republican. He may finally get a mix of stupid liberals and drooling dolts who indict the guy.
That’s what happened here.
Jefferson, of course, is a victim of the evil white man, always trying to oppress the people! Why, he doesn’t know how that money got in there! Its all an FBI plot!!
That is pretty messed up and should warrant a review from higher up, you know the funny thing though? The prosecutor made me think of a republican-hating version of you - hook, line, and sinker.
Oh yeah, I loved this paragraph:
So why don’t you take some advice from the article you linked and stfu.
I think differently than most.
Anyway, I voted Republican because they promised term limits, reduced spending, less regulation (MORE FREEDOM), a return to less government. They didn’t do as they promised, choosing instead to out-Dem the Dems. They were afraid they’d lose votes if they DID WHAT THEY WERE HIRED FOR! So, include stupid along with spineless, the bastard scum.

Yes, I agree. We need less regulation in this country for corporations. I can’t wait for another Enron. We need more corporations to make as much money as possible while raping the middle and lower classes as much as possible. Yeah for deregulation!!!

The election may have turned out differently if New Orleans wasn’t in shambles (16% voter turnout this election).

I’m not sure that this would matter. We are talking about the state that voted to have David Duke as the state senator in 1988. Also, I have seen his numbers in many of his other unsuccessful bids for political positions and, even though he did not win, it disturbs me at how high some of the percentages of those votes were that he did receive. Maybe I am being a bit extreme but I am thinking that if we were wipe Louisiana off the map maybe we would have a better country.
I mean, seriously, in this day and age, how can that many people vote for the former leader of the KKK and still be a part of this country? I know that racism still exists but the concentration that seems to be in that state is ridiculously high as far as I am concerned.

Oh yeah, I loved this paragraph:
If Congressman DeLay did something illegal, he, like anyone else, should be called to account. But he, like anyone else, is entitled to procedural fairness, including a prosecutor who not only is, but also appears to be, fair and impartial.

Hmmm…you’d like that…
I agree that Jefferson should get a fair trial, before they put him in prison.
Can someone tell my why David Duke was elected to office in Lousiana?
In 1989, he ran as a Republican for a seat representing Metairie in the Louisiana State House of Representatives. He defeated fellow Republican John Treen, the brother of David C. Treen, the first Republican to be elected governor of Louisiana since Reconstruction, by a narrow margin of 51-49 percent. Duke’s victory came despite visits to the district in support of John Treen’s candidacy by President George H.W. Bush, former President Ronald Reagan, and other GOP notables
Because, apparently, the people in Louisiana who could make a difference, either don’t care to or don’t have the energy to muster themselves to get to the polls and exercise their Goddamn right to vote! I suspect they are the same people I see walking to and from McDonald’s, near where I work, in their pajamas because they are too lazy to even change their clothes when they come out in public.
