This sounds about right to me.Listen im white and this sums it up.Maybe not today but 100 years ago and further. The Brits use to travel the world and claim all the land thay found as theirs and still occupy much of it today, look at south africa.

The white race has claimed land all over the world then taken it as if it were theirs all along, I mean shit the whites came to america and gave the indians blankets infested with small pox.

If you dont think white have stepped over dead bodies for personal gain take a minute and read about the Rothschilds. “Although Evelyn Rothschild may seem like a harmless old man, make no mistake about it. Rothschild and his ancestors have hand-picked presidents, crashed stock markets, bankrupted nations, orchestrated wars and sponsored the mass murder and impoverishment of millions”

So?

Every other race would have done it too, we were just faster on the draw.

Maybe, Access creates oppurtunity.

There is lots of evidence that vikings or the Celts came to america long before Columbus and they didnt occupy or kill off the indians like the settlers did.
I never came across any evidence of the Celts coming to America, but the Norsemen certainly did. They didn’t conquer everyone for two reasons: they were not politically or technologically sophisticated enough to do so being tribal themselves and without gunpowder, and second because they abandoned all of their colonies at the end of the Medieval Warm Period which was immediately followed by a mini ice age which wrecked their agricultural settlements in Greenland and New Foundland.

So European colonialism is also a part of the worldwide Jewish conspiracy? This one is new.

Are you guys KIDDING?

What a joke…

“Avatar”? It could have been written by Glenn Beck when compared to “District-9”.

Ask a white South African.

My bad good correction on the Norseman.

Those armed in the movie were contractors hired by the company doing the mining. They were not military (though as in real life, mercenaries like Blackwater fill their ranks with ex-military). As an officer of over 15 years, I didn’t find Cameron’s message to have anything to do with our US military or Iraq. It was about corporate greed backed up by hired guns who had no respect for life.

No way! A sensible post!

lawl,

In the interview I read in the new york times with Cameron, he said it represented the worst parts of man and the best parts… maybe you need to just sit back, enjoy a movie and have fun… how some of you have not had a stroke yet is amazing…

The whole movie was biased and based on a traitor. Every Marine was stereotyped in the worst way possible and at a time of war what were they thinking? References to the metal being valuable and why we are there is like saying Iraq for oil. Its amazing how all in one it bashed capitalism and the military while they are using the movie to get rich. Amazing right? Only in America because you do not see other countries bashing thier own people do you?

I always thought that was ironic. Michael Moore makes a documentary about health care… where did the profits go? In his pocket. He makes another against capitalism, getting richer. If he believed his own ideas, why doesn’t he live a middle class existence at about $80k/year (which is better than the combined income of the average American family) and use the rest to help poor people get operations or whatever he thinks needs doing.

Same with Angelina Jolie and Bono. If they cared so much about Africa they would live like normal people and give all their money to pay off Africa countries debts. I bet that if a new Angelina Jolie movie came out saying she wasn’t taking a salary, it was all going to debt forgiveness it would break box office records as most people would love to think that their ticket-money was going to a worthy cause.

The hypocrisy is epitomized in how these type of activists always adopt a bunch of African or Asian kids. “Look at me, I am such a great person for adopting poor kids!”- but really you did it all for yourself. You wanted a kid, so you got one that came with a bunch of sentimental publicity. Not self interested at all! Pure charity and goodness.

So your idea of capitalism is mercantilism/corporatism?

That is fascism not free markets.

What really pissed me off though is the use of White men and the military as the bad guys. Is JC unaware that,GULP…the military DOES WHAT the Congress and the C-in-C tell us to? Is he unaware that the, mostly DEMOCRATIC, Congress VOTED TO GO INTO IRAQ?

I guess that idiot Bush just fooled everyone, right?

Fuck him.
Everyone thought Bush was a dumb ass and voted for Obama to end the war. Obama goes into office learns all the scary shit that is really happening and says…Send more troops.

I kind of feel like Iraq was for oil.

I wish we had…cause then my time spent over there and the injuries to my brothers would have been for something a lot more tangiable then a stable ME. Fuck the ME.

As far as I can remember, Obama pledged to focus on Afghanistan way before he had a shot at being elected. Is my memory failing me?

No. You are right. This, from August 2007:

They were not Marines–they were mercenaries hired by the corporation mining the mineral. Some were ex-marines, like Jake. What were they traitors against? Not their country for sure, since they were merely employees of a big, sinister corporation who didn’t claim to represent a country. Indeed, since this is set in the future, the corporation is likely Chinese! Dig a little deeper.

First off i salute youre service, I got lots of buddies who were and are there. If oil or just the destruction of Saddam wasnt the motivator then what was.

And I know for a fact we got troops or seals stationed ON the offshore rigs keeping them from getting taken or blown up.Now I know that doesnt mean we are taking the oil but we are guarding it none the less.
