Pocket Knives

Beat the crap out of my Buck doing christmas trees…

I gotta find something new that I like. Dissapointed to find out that apparently Gerber now is made in China also.

Looking at Case with wormbone handles…think that’s gonna be the new one.

It just never ceases to amaze me which topics take off, and which one’s garner little to no interest. Any one jazzed about/recommend a finely crafted set of nose hair clippers, as I use these at least several times a day, price is of little import.

Just tell the police that you’re a Sikh.

I heard an amusing story from England a few years back in which a woman driver was attempting to light her cigarette at a stop light with the window down. When a street thug stepped up brandishing a handgun (of course, handguns are illegal in Britain), the lady driver proceeded to set him on fire with her cigarette lighter. Now we may expect new regulations in England banning cigarette lighters.

haha lmao, did he have long hair or something? It must have been some lighter.

I’ve got the same one. Had to take the spring out to comply with CT laws. A great, sharp handy blade.[/quote]

I’ll take the spring out when a cop tells me I have to. Until then it is ready for duty.

Hmmm, a site called testosterone with posters amazed that a thread involving a tool used for work, fighting or assorted skill happens to be a popular topic? Was the Martha Stewart Living website full?

I’m thinking it was the PETA/Hippy-4-eva site that was going slow…

Even Martha is into knives, shovels, and various other tools used for the betterment of mankind

Cripes

Please see my thread on “Feng Shui and Coordinating Drapes with Furniture”. You will find it between the “Steroids Forever” and “Ass Worship” threads.

Ah, Professor, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Have a gander at the Handguns or Liberty Control threads. I never knew there was such abject fear of inanimate objects even here amongst our brethren.

Particularly inanimate objects traditionally associated with high-testosterone activities (work, fighting, assorted skill).

Ok,

We’ve sen the knives but what are you using to sharpen.

I have been using the Lansky diamond system with less than stellar results but I am sure it is probably my technique and not the tools.

I have struggled with the same system. I now use an old whetstone coarse on one side and fine on the other.

For sharpening, do yourself a favor and purchase a DMT stone. Expect to pay between 90 to 130 bucks depending on the size/grit that you buy but they’re worth every penny and will last a lifetime.

If you’re having trouble with a Lansky, check and see if the blade edge is at more than 30 degrees. If it is, you’re going to have to bring the edge down so that it’s at the right angle for one of the Lansky angles.
