Currently replaying Killzone 3, forgot how good the Multiplayer was. More inclined to get shadow fall now.

Story is lame though.

After i beat GTAV (which was great, but ultimately did not live up to the insane hype) i started replaying killzone 2. I plan on doing 3 next so everythings fresh in my mind for shadow fall.

Soon…

If the damn online would work I think GTA V still has a shot at the hype. As it stand it’s too much of a pain in the ass to get online and play. It’ll be nice to get that $500k though.

I can’t wait for Shawdow Fall, the graphics look sick and the gameplay looks improved.

Shadow Fall is my number 1 preorder and the game im most excited for. Its the only launch game for either console that truly fits the bill for “next-gen” if you ask me.

As far as GTA goes, i only have a few complaints that kept the single-player from living up to the hype;

Too much of the enormous map felt like filler, especially the grassy hills. They didnt even look nice, had they shared the same detail as RDR’s environment did, it would have been acceptable.

The characters were not affable enough. Yes they are supposed to be despicable, sociopath criminals, but you need to be able to sympathize at least slightly. Franklin had no redeeming values in my opinion, Trevor only got by on his craziness, and while at times i wanted to like Michael a lot, i just couldnt find myself rooting for him all that much.

The singleplayer was too short. I think GTAIV’s was longer, and that entire game is relatively small compared to V.

Too much of the singleplayer was built around being someone else’s bitch and not making any money til the end. Seriously, when the fuck was GTA ever about that?

Agree Shadow Fall is one of the few nex gen launch titles that 100% looks next gen. The only other game, which isn’t a launch title, that looks as good graphically is The Division, imo.

Also agree about the single player in GTA.

Generally speaking, based on past launches of previous consoles, how good are the launch ready games?

The only console I’ve ever gotten at launch is the Wii (2005 or 6?) so I really couldn’t say. There are enough next gen ports to keep me busy until the “real” next gen games come out though.

I think we’ll see the first real next gen games when Destiny and The Division come out mid next year.

For those of you who preordered Watch Dogs (like myself), it’s been pushed back to Spring 2014:

Guess I’ll go ahead and preorder AC4 or Killzone Shadowfall.

I hope this doesn’t fuck up my preorder with Wal-Mart.

Yeah, I’m not particularly mad about it, but it seems very odd to delay a game ONE MONTH, before it is to be released. Especially considering they would’ve needed to start preparing for distribution, packaging, retail, etc. in the next week or two.

They probably didn’t want to release it so close to ACIV, which would’ve been a pretty bad decision anyway.

My guess is it has more to do with fall releases than anything else. COD, ACIV, BF4, Killzone, and 2 new consoles…Doesn’t bode well for sales.

PS4 preorders at this stage of the game are going for $600-$700. Imagine what they’ll be going for Dec 15.

I think I’m going to put my preorder + COD up for sale on Ebay.

I’m not dying for the new system. I’m perfectly happy with playing NBA 2K14 on my xbox 360

It’s not a bad idea. Easy $200+ I think.

^This also just points out how dumb people are. I pre-ordered, I think in June, for $0 down. Why would you pay 150%-300% for something…

Meh. Most parents aren’t on the ball with video games.

All the serious gamers had their systems reserved ages ago.

Plus a $200 markup for a workaholic absentee father is pennies

Wow, that’s crazy. I went like less than 2 weeks ago and was able to pre-order one of each system. Since it was so easy, I also preordered a second PS4 to sell later. I wonder if people are just much lazier now and would rather just go online in their living room even if it means paying more than calling stores. Not sure the best time to sell the PS4 or how much I’ll get for it, but it’s a pretty safe investment since the worst case scenario is I get my money back.

Darn, that was going to be my first game. Not sure what I’ll get now for the PS4.

Ya, I pre-orderd mine on Amazon so I don’t get why you’d wait unless your lazy or just don’t know about the production limits.

I would think any time after Thanksgiving is a good time to start selling. You can try and hold out for those desperate a week or so before Christmas, but you might miss the rush.
