Hi,
5 minutes ago i have done my wednesday IM
as always i do it on my quad.
Usually all is ok, no blood, no pain… nothing…
today i have “pinned” a nerve… no pain just the “instinct” to “take off” fast the needles… then i have pinned a bit aside and all gone as always. My question is: having pinned a nerve what i have to aspect? can i have done some “damage”?

Cadav,
Don’t worry too much about it. You’ll really know when you’ve hit a nerve, trust me. That’s why I stopped injecting in my quads. I hit a nerve and couldn’t walk properly for days, the pain was excruciating. I know you can’t do the dorsogluteal, but have you tried the ventrogluteal site?
I have hit nerves in my quad several times. I push the needle in VERY SLOWLY now, and if I feel even so much as a twitch in my leg I pull out and move over.
But it is kinda fun to watch your leg convulse like a dissected frog with the electricity hooked to it. It just hurts like hell afterwards.

thanks Tone for the information.
i have tried the “easy to reach and see” area
ie:
pecs
delts
biceps (ARGH!)
quads
i missed the calves… after the bicepes… i think i’ll stick to quad
