Physical Culture Have Gay Roots?
Bri Hildebrandt wrote

The typical bodybuilder tends to go for the look that will impress other men rather than what a woman will get turned on by. How many women are turned on by Arnold’s physique? Most you’ll find think he’s “disgusting”. I’m not saying heterosexual men are getting turned on by it. Perhaps it’s a dominance and respect thing.

If you’re more worried about what the bouncer thinks of you when you enter a club rather than the chicks inside I think something is very wrong. It’s not necessarily gay but it is feminine.
I still don’t see how it’s effminite maybe narcissistic but that is how we in the west are.

Beauty is not just found in women, I don’t understand that either. If we looked how a majority of typical western women liked, we would be weighing about 130 pounds with little ripped abs and a penchant for being controlled and dominated. Aren’t looks farther down the list for women anyways, well in relationship sense.

Women don’t just view a man and think “he is sexy because he is” they are too busy thinking “is he sexy when factoring in pop culture” “will he look sexy by me”, “does he look too sexy for me”, “is his body too developed, will he spend time with me?”

When a man sees a woman he just thinks “she is or isn’t sexy.” We don’t care how much is in her bank account, or if she likes to cuddle. So if having muscle was the ultimate sign of coolness, then yes women would find Arnold attractive, hell I bet women find him attractive as he was.

I am willing to say in the 90’s hell now, most women would have sex with Arnold even knowing full well he is married. Women will say they would never, but if it was 1992 they would not turn Arnold away, you have to factor in status et cetera. Most would jump at it, even if they said they weren’t attracted to him.

One of the things I personally hate is the use of authors on this site as some kind of support for your ideas. I would debate this topic with Shugart the same as I am debating it with you.
Very true Professor.

By the way did you know that mankind has gay roots?

I did state the reason why I used the Shugart quote.

It wasn’t because he is a infallible authority.
