I am in the process of interviewing for a company in a sales capacity. I had one interview and took a Drake personality test online. Now, I have to go in and take a Caliper Assessement. From what I understand it’s another personality test and is used to judge my sales “style and approach”.
Has anyone taken this test that can offer up some advice??? I REALLY want this job…
I have done this test 2 times before hand. This included 2 online tests, interview, problem solving and selection center. overkill in my book.
Firstly, get to a website that may help. check site about medical sales (fair bit of info), and get a book about them, and interviews in general. be prepared as much as possible.
In the end of the day, if i passed the on line tests anyone will. No secret as they claim to be structured to account for deception etc. I am not convinced, but get the damn book, relax, prepare as with competency interviews, they are so structured that they are easy to prepare for, and blast it.
I’ve taken a couple, as I’m in outside sales for a parcel delivery company. One test took a couple of hours, and was loaded with “stuff”. The other was DISC, which is a personality test.
It would help if you knew what they’re looking for in the test. Some companies are looking for attitudes that follow their core belief. Others are looking for competency.
I would do as Miniross said…if you could get your hand on materials?read up on what might be in the test. Otherwise, be yourself.
You mentioned that the test is for sales…therefore you’ll want to go in with a servants mentality…you want to help people…provide solutions…friendly…open…engages easily?etc. PM me if you want more help!
