Doing the presses, I noticed that my lower back felt weirdly good and straight and strong. Not sure if heavier Zerchers somehow did it good, or if it was the little prayer I said before the heaviest set of Zerchers. Not sure if I ever did Zerchers with this much weight before, so I was a little freaked out about the possibility of things going badly… perhaps God does have my back, literally.

Did light deads today after spending the afternoon sitting on the kitchen floor separating more than 30 pounds of grapes from the stems, and throwing out the bad ones. Then crushed them with a potato masher, which was a lot less work. Gonna try to turn these into brandy. Still got like four-five pounds left that won’t even fit in the fermenter, so my adventures in growing grapes in the middle of the city have been going well.

Grapes are now fermenting away.

And got to spend some time early Friday morning cleaning half-fermented grape juice off the kitchen floor. These modern “turbo” yeasts really are.

And now I remember why I stopped doing high-rep power clean finishers. Curls are considerably less unpleasant.

Doing the squats differently, still picking the up off the sawhorses but walking them out like I do for Zerchers, and doing the squats ATG. Damn it’s harder than I’d think, will see if I get used to it in a few weeks or if it’ll remain this hard. And walking the weight backwards to put it down is pretty annoying.
