Maybe I should take some time off… had a dream last night about doing Zerchers, and thinking I was not hitting good depth at all. Fortunately in reality I can still do ATG with this weight, but of all the things one could dream about, squat depth? Really?
2x9. 4x8: deadlift 139 kg
5x3, 3x2: pullup 32 kg
3x8: pullup
Doing some lighter deadlifts with more volume is kind of a way to take it easy on the joints and stuff, but it’s also a lot of effort by the 50th rep.
15x1: front squat 121 kg
3x8: military press 61 kg
3x8: dip 12 kg
Still DOMSy from Sunday’s deadlift volume.

3x10: seated db press 20 kg
Also finally got that goat I’ve been meaning to get for a while. Almost 10 kg. Reselling the front half of it (legs and ribs) to friends, keeping the back legs and liver for myself.
2x6: deadlift 195 kg
6x3, 3x2: pullup 32 kg
3x8: pullup
And the roasted goat leg. I covered it in stinging nettle leaves, and kept it in the oven for 4 1/2 hours. Yum.
51x1: front squat 91 kg (single every 15 seconds till I said no mas)
3x8: military press 61 kg

8x3: pullup 32 kg
3x8: pullup
Took a few days off. Not sure what I did, but the front of my right calf somehow started to hurt on Sunday, nothing terrible, but I still felt it Monday so I figured doing squats isn’t probably going to make it better, and I haven’t taken any time off this year yet as far as I can remember, so why not take a week off… By Wednesday it felt fine but tried to be disciplined and really take a week off. I guess six days off, cause I’m back to lifting on the seventh. Oh well.
1x10: deadlift 175 kg
1x3, 8x2: pullup 33 kg
3x8: pullup
15x1: front squat 119 kg

3x8: dip 12 kg
3x5, 1x4: snatch grip deadlift 113 kg
1x2: power clean 87 kg

3x10: Zercher squat 97 kg
1x2: military press 79 kg
1x3: military press 75 kg
1x5: military press 71 kg
3x10: seated db press 20 kg
1x2: deadlift 199 kg
1x3: deadlift 189 kg
1x5: deadlift 179 kg
2x3, 6x2: pullup 33 kg
3x8: pullup
Going a bit heavier with the deads, but taking it easy and moving up carefully. Haven’t done over 200 kg in a few years, and the last time I did, bad things happened on the fourth rep, so…
15x1: front squat 119 kg
3x8: military press 61 kg
3x8: dip 12 kg
4x5: snatch grip deadlift 113 kg
1x2: power clean 87 kg
1x3: power clean 83 kg
1x5: power clean 79 kg
3x8: cheat curl 49 kg
3x10: Zercher squat 97 kg
1x1: military press 79 kg
1x3: military press 75 kg
1x5: military press 71 kg
3x10: seated db press 20 kg
Yeah, tried for a second rep on the heaviest press twice, stalled both times. It happens.
I also realized why it’s easier to do ATG Zercher squats than front squats - the bar rests on my thigh just above my knees, so going down further doesn’t really add to how far the weight actually moves, just a fraction of an inch.
1x3: deadlift 199 kg
1x4: deadlift 189 kg
1x6: deadlift 179 kg
3x3, 5x2: pullup 33 kg
3x8: pullup
Today I learned that even on a warm day, it’s not the worst idea to wear pants for weighted pullups. Not that putting the dummbell between my legs is an issue, but getting my hands in there to put it down after the set, gotta be careful to avoid yanking on the leg hair.
