I’m 49. I lifted for 19 years straight until the pandemic closed gyms temporarily 2 years ago.
Before I started weight training I always hated my skinny wrists. Some years ago I started lifting and went for 19 years straight. Due to some catastrophic circumstances I’ve become homeless. During this time my diet has been ****, with my calories being quite low. Despite these circumstances, looking down at my wrists, they’re significantly bigger than before. I also notice muscle in my forearms that surely wasn’t there before.
It may not be news to some of you that bodybuilding can permanently increase your muscle mass. I am just particularly impressed by my own experience and felt like sharing.
