Perference: Home or Commercial Gym?

Same here. Do what you want when you want to.

Home all the way. I actually find it more motivating to lift at home. With a commercial gym, no matter how close it is, you can always find an excuse not to go. There’s no excuse for not being able to walk down to your basement. Plus I like to use kettlebells which you can’t find in any gym.

I come on here to socialize. Not quite the same as talking face to face with someone, but in some ways the quality of the interaction is better. I’ve seen people talk for hours about nothing because it’s easy to just talk. Actually having to type something out in coherent sentences is more difficult. There’s not too much idle chit chat here on T-Nation. Even the jokes are given some thought.

I was wondering if anyone was in my same perdicament and what you do? Or does it just get worse with time and do I need to get back into the gym. I do not miss those idiots that need me to row weight off their chest on the bench press, but I do enjoy company from time to time to work out with, get me pumped, spot.

I do both, but prefer the commercial gym. I don’t have all the equipment I need at home, but it takes care of most of the things I need.

The music at the home gym absolutely rules. =)

The commercial gym can be a pain at times, but I suppose it’s the same thing anywhere you go (shopping mall, public sporting event, etc). I do like meeting my lifting partner at the gym. It motivates me to go on the rare day that I don’t feel like going.

That sounds original, well, other than the 5,000 other posts. Geez.
