Have you read about the perfect rep ? Going deliberately slow like in that video is the opposite of perfect rep.

Maximum-Force Lowering:
Just like maximum force lifting, you want to achieve maximum force lowering. In other words, lower the weight as fast as you safely can. Max force lowering loads the turnaround (in the bottom position) for maximum activation. And you potentiate that action by utilizing one of the method’s turnaround techniques.
So the guy in the video had Maximum-Force Lifting correct, but not Maximum-Force Lowering. Sorry for starting the thread, wasn’t sure because The first guy in the video was lowering the weight slowly but in a control state. As oppose to Nate, who was using force both ways.
