Feeling off. Probably fighting of a virus or something. Everyone around me is sick rn, so that would make sense. Felt good enough to train but my body didn’t want to lift heavy weights apparently.

My deadlift is getting weaker week by week right now. It bothers me a great deal but trying to go up in weight would have been nonsense today. Also tried a new belt position but will stay at the original one.

Because I bought a 30 kg vest off of someone and don’t own a vehicle, haha. 30 kg is heavy.

Notes:

  • skipped my lower body workout for recovery purposes and also decided to not do the overhead medley. Next week I’ll start the final push towards competitions.
  • Things are crazy but I’m managing reasonably well.

Now that I had another… turbulent (but not that terrible at all in the grand scheme of things) experience in my private life, I was reminded how much I actually keep coming back to this evening.
I still will not accept any negativity in relation to that encounter and I’m, beyond grateful for that experience but it is fucking hard to deal with and today is a great reminder of that. I would never wish to not have experienced it. While I wish for a different outcome everyday, I will never not be grateful.

I know that sounds cryptic and like the diaries of an emo teenager. Like always, I do not care one bit.

@SvenG @T3hPwnisher @anna_5588 how heavy qre your weight vests that you use for GPP?
I got a 30 kg vest for 50 euros yesterday which seemed like a good opportunity. Wore it for the way home from the seller and it was quite the difference to 10 kg. Especially for the neck and upper back. So I’m thinking of increasing the load to 20 kg at first and then gradually to 30 kg.

Nice! Mine is adjustable in 1-kg increments up to 30 kg total. I started at about 10% bodyweight and added something like 2-kg at a time until I hit the max.

If yours was only 50 euros, then you got a good deal!

I don’t have a vest. I throw weights into a hiking backpack. Usually 25-30lbs. Anything more pisses my neck off too much

I am steadily at 120 kg these days. How far is that for you?

I haven’t weighed myself in a while, but I would estimate around 86kg

Definitely different to 10 kg. Was just feeling this out and tracked the time but didn’t really try to be super fast. Slightly different route as well.

I have the same as @SvenG up to 30kg in 1kg increments but mine has been sitting in the shoe cupboard doing nothing for a long time. Thankyou for reminding me that it’s there. Now I need to find some good ways to use it.
