Felt pretty shitty again today, so I thought this was going to be a disaster but it ended up not being that bad.

Sadly didn’t get the 10 reps, had to take a breather, which ended up being a whole minute and pulled a 10th. Had an issue with not hitting the ground evenly on most reps.
Not too shabby of an effort, I think. A PR by default certainly.

Okay 130 kg would have even been a PR for normal front squats (yeah we’re never gonna be friends), so it’s not that surprising that I failed but the first two reps went so well that I was genuinely surprised I didn’t get the 3rd.
High bar squats are starting to look better, I think (more quad dominant). Front squats… yeah well…

So I finally finished most of my projects yesterday night. That means the 60+ h weeks should be over for a while (and be replaced by +/-40-50 h). Regardless I said fuck this shit this morning and called in sick at work. I’ve been having some persistent symptoms like elevated heart rate, restlessness, anxiety, foul mood, dizziness, issues controlling my anger and hatred/ big mood swings, psychological issues, increased alcohol consumption as a way to calm down, fatigue etc. etc…
After laying awake until after 2 am yesterday even though I was dead ass tired, I finally decided to pull the plug this morning. Can’t help but think “fuck 'em” instead of feeling remorse/ guilt. Doc said he wanted me on sick leave for two weeks but I said I’d do a week and asses from there. I can handle stress well but if it persists for too long, it starts to put chinks in the armor. I mainly feel sorry for my younger colleagues who are experiencing some much more severe symptoms (while not being used to shit like that). I’m trying to help them as much as I can but not much one can do.
The infuriating thing is that this situation would be very easily avoidable and at the same time that there is no where to turn to with critique because you’re met with indifference at every turn. With a smile and an excuse nonetheless. I’d much prefer if the people responsible would just tell me straight to the face that they don’t care whatsoever. It’s the cheekiness that they need to feel good about themselves that potentiates my anger.
