Thanks man! I definitely felt capable of doing more. Looking forward to a big pull in 2 weeks
2 rounds of sauna, 2 ice baths and some infrared light stuff tonight for recovery gainz.
Yer mate those pulls looked totally in control. Deff a bit more in the tank. Quality
Checked in and I’m impressed! That’s some damn good sets bro.
Damn fine work my man. That 500 is going down.
Sexy lifting brother
Just need some of them tights and he could join your club!!
@simo74 thanks mate. Also I do have some sexy tights, they’ll make their comeback come winter time.
@strongmanbrett thanks man! Doing my best to at least stay in range of you, haha.
@TX_iron Thanks buddy! Confidence is great, why not 500?!
@guineapig thanks man, still waiting for your only fans subscription.
Felt off from the get go today. Maybe the humidity is getting to me or the nerves or something unrelated but I didn’t feel ready today. That said the warm ups moved great so I tried to shove it all back and focus on the task at hand
1 push jerks
Warm ups were
20, 10 @ bar (strict, easing into rom)
10 @ 40 kg (strict)
6 @ 70 kg (1st strict)
3 @ 90 kg
1 @ 110 kg
1 @ 120 kg
1 @ 127,5 kg
1 @ 132,5 kg - missed the second. The first felt great and looked good. I think missing the second was due to a technical mistake more than anything but this hurt. First rep missed on this program.
2 @ 132,5 kg - dug really deep and fucking annihalted that weight. PR!
1 @ 132, 5 kg - wanted another single to get the prescribed 4 reps in.
2 front squats
Warm ups
8 @ bar
5 @ 60 kg
3 @ 80 kg
1 @ 100 kg
1 @ 120 kg
1 @ 127,5 kg
2 x 2 @ 132,5 kg - PR! (Previous best was 130 kg x 1!!)
3 pendlay rows
3 x 8 @ 90 kg
4 hollow holds
2 x 40 sec.
Notes:
- the front squats were a lot easier than I expected! Also easier than last week. They are never going to look pretty when I do them but that was as solid as it gets for me.
- sometimes you back off and sometimes you raise hell when things don’t work out at first. Mental comeback PR.
Probs fatigue for big deds yesterdi
Yeah I reckon that’s a factor. Will be fine after deload. A peak is supposed to be fatiguing, I’d say.
I think isa meant to feel shitty until the end but technically fatigue is meant to be dropping
Muscular fatigue is dropping but cns fatigue is probably increasing. On the other hand I generally feel fired up and eager to lift atm.
Not specifically as a repsonse to you @guineapig but worth noting:
Lifting aside I have had a good past 1,5 weeks. I feel a lot better than the previous ~ 5 weeks leading up, which got really dark again. I have conditioned myself to not be optimistic but maybe these new pills I am taking are finally doing sonething for me. We’ll see how things develop I guess. But it helps the lifting if you’re not feeling THAT bad.
Even if it is just a pretend press, that is a damn nice PR man.
Thanks man, one day I’ll remember to not wiggle me legs when I’m about to press!
Cheeky!
Some long overdue tennis tonight. The break showed itself in my play but shoulder and wrist were a non issue. Humidity was still crazy but good fun apart from being frustrated with my subpar play.
Awesome PR dude
1 box squat
Warm ups were
2 x ? @ bar
6 @ 60 kg
3 @ 100 kg
1 @ 140 kg
1 @ 160 kg
3 x 2 @ 170 kg
2 box jumps
5 x 3
3 step ups
2 x 5 @ 65 kg (alternating. Per leg)
4 strict log press
3 x 5 @ 83 kg - PR.
5 lat pull down
3 x 10
Notes:
- squats felt insanely powerful today. When I did the 160 kg warm up, I knew shit was gonna go rock today. Bracing was just on point. Set 3 was a little less quality. I heard something rip (pants) and that distracted me. Still felt pretty easy.
- strict presses are getting hard but I am well into PR territory here already, not even only for log.
Awesome work man.
