Can u correlate being put under pressure to perhaps gaining strength through such a process. Man I’m going through issues at this time,and they haven’t been solved even through prayer. It’s like I’m being passed thru a fire of some sort. Question is,will I be burnt up or refined

Tempered. The heat and quench hardens. The tempering makes you tough. Tough is still hard as fuck, but not brittle.
We go through things and its hard to understand why at the time. Then the next thing hits, and you begin to understand the resilience and toughness that was built the last time.
The important thing to remember is that when you’re going through hell, keep going!

In the last few years, my family has gone through some shit. I’ve had a lot of prayers go unanswered during that time. Looking back on some of them, I’m glad they weren’t answered. God has his plan for you to prosper and succeed. We have no idea how that plan unfolds. We don’t have the big picture. I’ve gotten much better about being grateful for the great things I have been given in my life and trusting that God is looking out for me in his way.

Exactly. And the Canaanites were practicing human sacrifice as well, to accentuate the point. They were very evil people, also engaging in all kinds of sexual degeneracy. Leviticus 18 lists all of the evil deeds that the Canaanites were doing, and God says that it was because of those things that He was going to destroy them. These acts included incest, bestiality, and sacrificing one’s children to Molech. The latter of these we have archeological evidence of.
The Carthaginians also sacrificed their children. As Phoenicians, they were the “cousins” of the Canaanites, ethnically and culturally. What the Romans did to is remarkably similar to what God commanded the Israelites to do to the Canaanites. They killed everyone and completely destroyed the city.
